Stanton:
Rd 3: 20 touches 93 Dt points
Rd 5 "13" for 77 DT points

Scotty T
Rd1 39 & 135
Rd2 34 109
Rd3 25
Rd4 27 109
Rd5 34 138
Rd6 31 128
Rd7 against geelong all you victoirians who said he can't play v good teams: 34 for 138

this guy should be leading the brownlow

yeah alright make an argument using Stantons worst games but all of Thompsons game, but coincidentally leaving out his bad DT score - yup your argument is really reliable

I might as well throw Swanny into the ring if we are only looking at possessions.

Rd4: 36, 134

Noz

Dangerfield, Tippett, Walker, Sloane could all be taking votes of Thommo while Stanton is just fighting with Watson and a couple of other bombers might get a few but won't be damaging to Stants brownlow votes.

I don't necessarily disagree with you.  It just seems that the umpires don't pay much attention to Scotty T.  How does he normally do in the Brownlow voting?  He had a career best season last year and he wasn't at the point end on Brownlow night from memory.

I reckon it is fair to say that Danger will be pocketing the 3 votes from the Showdown match.

I hope Stanton starts spudding up soon ;D
i have him and from what i can see its not to hard to spud him up if you get a guy to sacrifice their game and target him is the best way how harbrow and clarke did

tbagrocks

ok i'm not saying Thommo is fav for the Brownlow, just up against the coment of Stants leading Charlie by 3 votes! when clearly JPK, Scott T & Murph have been great for winning teams

Scotty T is a solid player but not an elite user, more like a boyd or a priddis

I have read prob 3 lines plus the title of this thread. On Brownlow whos leading, nobody knows, its the suck d!ck competition, a joke, basically afl pin up night of BS, anyway back to the thread title. Are you fcking serious, his like well into his twentys think like 28/29 not sure, been solid but never the greatest. For him to pass swan his got about 3yrs at the top. As soon as he gets a tag his on struggle st. And as far as brownlow votes im 99% certain Jobe is beating stantz after round 7. If you had a bloke super glued to you and continously rake 30+ possesion and cleareances the way jobe does you would be considered a god. He wears a double judd tag and gets fa recognition, but is clearly the best footballer in the land.

hang on mate! are you suggesting J Watson is the best footballer in the AFL!

com'on mate this whole thread has been about this and everyone knows guys like Ablett, swan, even Buddy are better than Jobe, Jobe's a great player but not the best, get serious

mpollock

(@Owenbond007 - must agree Watson is very underrated ... but not the best in the land ... )

I think the brownlow will come from of these guys:

Pendles, Stanton (my tip), Swan, Ablett, M.Murphy, Kennedy, Judd, S.Thompson, J.Selwood

For me I would think Stanton and Kennedy are currently in front with S.Thompson just behind them.
Pendles/Swan are tough ones ... I think maybe sidebum will take a few to many point off them this year.

Judd/Selwood should probably not be in that list but the umps love those two so you can't count them out.

Did i miss anyone?  Perhaps Mitchell and Watson could string together some major votes and poll well.

The bookies currently have Pendles, Murphy, Kennedy, Ablett, Mitchell as the top 5 prior to this round. (TAB)
