Which fallen Prem to pick up?

Sam Mitchell
Nick Dal santo

quinny88

2 prems that have almost bottomed out but are clearly still guns.
Both have high break evens so should drop in value further after this week.
Which is the better option?

Sam Mitchell ($536,900) Avg: 109.50  BE: 146

Nick Dal Santo ($536,500) Avg: 103.33  BE: 162

Sam, always work hard doesn't matter who's on him, always in and under digging out the hard balls, and hawks will win more games!

Mitchell for me, only just though. He always struggles against Sydney and St. Kilda and has both of them out of the way now

Im leaning towards mitchell at the moment but do still like the look of dal santo in my side.
I think he has a bigger ceiling when in form. Question is if he will get back to that form soon

Colliwobblers

Mitchell, Think Hayes will outscore Dal and cost less again

Dal santo might actually be a great POD player judging by peoples votes. mitchell might be in half of the SC teams by next week

IMO the midfield is the one place you don't skip on quality. It's the only position where a shiat week by a elite mid will still get you 90+ points (exceptions like Murphy last week). DEF/FWD etc can get you as low as 60. The only time to get cheapish midfielders are at the start of the season

My Midfield is: Pendles (as always), Gablett (who wouldn't), Watson (great year bar one round), Jelwood, Priddis (consistently consistent) and looking to complete it with Marc Murphy when he drops down because of his amazing performance against the mighty GWS...

Are mitchell and dal santo not quality?
I would have thought they are pretty high quality mids surely? Both would have finished top 10 last year

That is so wrong.
Mitchell would have come 2nd in the Brownlow if he wasn't ineligible AND Dal Santo actually finished 2nd!!!
How can you say they are worse than Selwood, Watson or Priddis?????

akbal

Isn't NDS going to bottom out in 2 weeks time?

Well regardless i think these 2 players are pretty good upgrade targets to be looking at in the next week or 2

akbal

Yeah both good, but if you need to trade this week, don't go NDS, and if you're trading in 2 weeks time surely its better to make the decision then.

Up to you I guess. Pretty hard to avoid a donut from atleast one bye group. As long as your rookies arent from the rd 13 bye at that time it shouldnt matter to much
