Will Murphy be rested this week? Surely not, let us throw the C on him and go nuts!

Justin Bieber

Well he came second in the curse votes so it will be no.

But they will probably rest him anyways...

"Champion Data figures show that five midfielders - Simpson, Bryce Gibbs, Heath Scotland, Marc Murphy and Chris Judd - are among those to spend the most time on the ground so far.

Judd appears certain to be rested as he and the club look to avoid the burnout that plagued him late last season."

"Ed Curnow and Dennis Armfield could be given time to rest sore bodies against GWS and Chris Yarran (toe) may be told to take another week off."

Judd, Scotland, Curnow, Armfield and maybe even Simpson would be ahead of Murphs in terms of being rested
They won't rest all these blokes... they still need to win!

My guess is that Judd is definitely getting rested, and one of Murphy and Gibbs. I would be more inclined to say it's Gibbs though.

GavidDuetta

Yes he will be rested. Ratten has said all week Judd, Simpson, Murphy, Scotland, Gibbs are likely to get the rest they need. He has made it well known there will be big changes this week, good thing is havent heard Mitch Robbos name once

If the above are out and Robbo is still in then Id be tempted to C robbo. Would have pencilled him in for 120 anyway but as the no.1 mid for carlton against GWS its looking tastier

simpson definately getting rested, judd about 90% murhpy about 80% scotalnd and Gibbs 50%

Simpson holds the consecutive game record doesn't he? hope he doesn't get rested for that sake .
hopefully they fuucking exclude them in the teams instead of being a late exclusion

Windigo

Why would they rest players after 5 rounds.  ::)

He is also in ripping form and doesn't even look like needing a rest.

yeah mate i reckon older blokes like juddy and scotland are the ones that will surely be rested... murph and gibbs might get a few rests throughout the year but they are young and therefore in less need of a rest imho

"It is only older players, such as Judd and Waite, who come into the frame for a week off against the Giants, with the rest of Carlton's elite players expected to play, including Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs, Matthew Kreuzer and Michael Jamison."

They get a 9 day break. They shouldn't be sore...
