From what I have understood and from years of experience, only the top ~210k based on overall qualify for the eliminator etc but who you play THIS week and every other week is based on your weekly score.

I'm afraid this is incorrect. I am ranked 185 overall, but it has as eliminator ranking of 6353(my round 5 rank)  :-[
