Big Wraps on the first gamer given by coaches in an AFL.com article about Gary's injury.

Notables:

* West Australian Horsley was one of the beneficiaries of the Suns' lack of experience on Saturday, stepping in to make his debut. The 24-year-old had 19 disposals and eight tackles in a polished display and said he was looking forward to playing Fremantle.

* Gold Coast football operations manager Marcus Ashcroft said Horsley's first-up showing was exceptional.  "He was fantastic. He's shown that form in the reserves but it's always hard to know whether that will translate to AFL because it's a big jump up," Ashcroft said.

* "We were rapt the way he went about it. He was strong, he was penetrating with his disposal and he gave us real run and direction."

Also has a keen desire to succeed after finishing runner-up in last year's Sandover Medal (WAFL's B&F).  Looking forward to playing against Freo, where he is friendly with players.

Could not have had better timing. I wonder what D Smiths breakeven is... Was going to go Smith to Beams but may wait till next week and get this dude instead of Pfeifer. Although i really wanted that link. Round 13 rooks are gold at this stage.

So probably wont make too much extra cash anyway. Maybe the extra points i can get from Beams this week might be worth just doing it.
