5-0 for the first time since 1998.

Beaten Fremantle and Hawthorn, two top 4 touted teams.

Havent been able to field a solid full strength team yet.

Beat Adelaide at home and Essendon at Ethiad and we can go into the bye 11-0

A second half of games that includes GC, GWS, Brisbane.

Even better - if we really are a chance, games against Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong and Hawthorn to finish the season to prime us up for finals glory.....

a)Booyeah, we are doing very well atm.
b) I'll be pumped when we are back to full strength
c) I wouldn't call Freo a top 4 touted side, seeing where Geelong and Collingwood are at the moment...
d) Our second half is farily awful...
At worst, I could see us getting sixth, at best, minor premiers.

I apologise to the Swans for underestimating them. Looking at their list, I have no idea why I did!

Swans and Eagles undefeated? Perhaps a return to 2005-06?

TheMailman

Just look at our next 6 matches:

Adelaide, Richmond, Melbourne, St. Kilda, WB, Essendon

Theoretically we could be 10-1 or 11-0 after the first 11 matches.

Then the next 6 includes GWS, St.Kilda, Brisbane and Gold Coast....

That's another 8-10 easily winnable matches for Sydney. Obviously where in the top 5-6 will be defined by how we play Carlton, Geelong, Collingwood and WC.

Hawthorn was a good start. Plus we didn't even have Mumford

Adelaide to win next saturday night!! Although I am going to the game so chances are it's just going to pour with rain and the Crows will only score 2 goals (Tippett to score 13 behinds)

SydneyRox

Well CF, Adelaide are another one surprising a few. Start of the season we would have marked Adelaide at the SCG an easy win.

Now it is gonna be tough. I still think we will have the talent to get over you and the crowd will bring us home if it is a close one.

Swans, Eagles, Crows, Dockers.

Hmmm... I believe it was those 4 teams in a top 4 about 6-7 years ago.

SydneyRox

Yeah really interesting how after the last 3-4 years where teams outside melbourne couldnt make the 8 let alone top4. Now we have 3 in top 4 and they all look like hanging around

Cicjose

after round 18 your fixture goes pearshaped

Not really

look at the last head to head margins

vs Geelong (+13)

vs Hawthorn (+ 37)

vs WB (+ 39)

vs Collingwood (-6)

vs Carlton (-34)

Doesn't look so hard to me. Carlton was the only team there we couldn't beat on the day.

SydneyRox

That is where it gets interesting - We could be 18-0 by then.

Games against Geelong, Collingwood, Carlton and the Hawks will really show us if we are contenders at the right time of the year.

My Chumps

Couldn't be prouder of the boys after Sunday, but I'll take it one game at a time, starting with Adelaide this weekend.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves boys  ;)

TheMailman

NO!

We will look back at this thread in wonder  :P

Capper

*puts lid back on*

ok lets all settle down and not get ahead of ourselves here. Yes we are on fire, played well on the weekend and have a decent draw.

Let the cliches fly....

Lets take a week at a time

I'm thinking of putting money on Josh Kennedy to win the brownlow. Thoughts?
