Trusting the guru

I have what i feel is a pretty decent side. The fan planner spat out 1822 as my potential Rd 1 score.  How much do you rely on this so called "guru"?

if your projected total is below 1500.. chances are you dont have a good team. Likewise, if you try yo make a team purely based on the gurus projections, u will probably end up with a poor team (A couple of us guys were mucking around tring to make the highest projected total, but the team we made you just wouldnt start with. I think the guru value we ended up with was 2081 or something).

The gurus projections i think are quite leniant, as im pretty sure that last years first round winner score around 1850. It should be used just a guide of a optimistic potential rnd 1 score. I think my projection is around 1781, and if i manage to score that, i'd be quite content.

Selecting your initial squad is vital and will play a major role in how your season pans out. Don't pay the R1 guru projections too much attention, it's more important that you have a squad that your happy to work with for 22 rounds.
