Question on Bench players

My midfield is full of injured players...who I put on the bench. Namely Ablett and Clifton.
For an emergency can I use a Treload (MID/FWD) or D Smith (MID/FWD). Any help would be appreciated.

You need a MID/FWD link.

Or trade Clifton and put Treloar in mids via the DPP trade thing.

Don't think I can. I got Pendels (VC), Boyd (C), B Ebert, Parker, J Ziebell and Magner
Bench I got Ablett and S Clifton

However in my FW Bench I got Treloar and Smith. I though since theyre DPP they can cover the midfield as well as an Emergency.
Reason being is Parker is an Emergency. I'm hoping he plays so he can fatten up more, gonna use him as collateral down the track to get Swan, so my Premium Mids are split nicely in the Bye Rounds.
