ADELAIDE
Bernie Vince will miss up to four weeks with a broken hand but the good news is that the injury won't require surgery. Adelaide's eight-day break before Sunday's clash with the Power should allow Ian Callinan to recover from a calf injury and Jared Petrenko trained on Tuesday after being knocked out by teammate Jason Porplyzia against the Giants. Graham Johncock looms as a certain inclusion for the Crows, while Chris Knights and Jarryd Lyons have been in solid form in the SANFL.


BRISBANE LIONS
The Lions can bolster their midfield stocks against Geelong on Saturday night with James Polkinghorne (ankle) and Claye Beams (back) both available. The pair missed last week's win over Gold Coast but had been among the club's best in the opening three weeks.


CARLTON
The Blues have some injury concerns and reason to make a statement at the selection table following their first defeat of the season. Andrew Carrazzo will miss up to two months with a broken shoulder blade, while Jeremy Laidler (knee) and Chris Yarran (toe) struggled in the loss to the Bombers, but Dennis Armfield is a chance to return from knee soreness while forward Andrew Walker is due to make his comeback from injury. David Ellard was best on ground in the Northern Blues' 100-point win and Andy Collins was also in their best players. Robbie Warnock also got another game under his belt as he regains match fitness after dual shoulder operations.


FREMANTLE
Nat Fyfe (shoulder) was held back last week after consulting a Melbourne specialist, but Fremantle coach Ross Lyon is confident the young star will face Carlton on Friday night after training fully on Monday. Ruckman Aaron Sandilands is in doubt with a calf complaint, while there are questions over potential replacement Jon Griffin's fitness. That could open the door for Kepler Bradley to return as support for Zac Clarke. Unforced changes are unlikely, but Nick Lower, Alex Silvagni and Dylan Roberton have all impressed in the WAFL.


GEELONG
Champion defender Matthew Scarlett has served his suspension for striking Fremantle's Hayden Ballantyne in round one, so he will definitely return for Saturday night's clash with the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba. Ruckman Orren Stephenson, who was dropped after the loss to North Melbourne in round three, is also expected to line up against the Lions. Stephenson was among the best players in Geelong's VFL team last weekend. Star midfielder James Kelly (groin soreness) is a doubtful starter, but youngster Billie Smedts (ribs) might earn a recall.


GOLD COAST
With Gary Ablett (knee) and Jarrod Harbrow (elbow) both missing for the trip south to play North Melbourne on Saturday, there's vacancies for a couple of young Suns. Maverick Weller and Joel Wilkinson are in line after strong performances in the reserves last week, while forward/ruck Charlie Dixon also shone and could come in to strengthen a struggling forward line.

GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY
Steve Coniglio is almost certain to return from a virus to take on the Western Bulldogs at Manuka Oval in Canberra, with key forward Jeremy Cameron also likely to take his place after missing the Adelaide game with a corked thigh. Setanta O'hAilpin is expected to play one more week in the reserves, although he is some chance of making his senior GWS debut. Jon Patton made his first appearance in the reserves last weekend in a very promising sign following knee surgery. But last year's No.1 NAB AFL Draft pick isn't expected to regain his touch and push for senior selection for around four weeks.


HAWTHORN
The Hawks will hope to have all of Isaac Smith (back/calf), Luke Breust (concussion) and Grant Birchall (knee) fit to face the Sydney Swans in Launceston on Sunday after they missed Saturday night's narrow loss to West Coast. Doubt still surrounds captain Luke Hodge, who is yet to take the park this season due to a calf injury. Paul Puopolo played his first game since the NAB Cup for Box Hill on Saturday, and could be called upon to provide some extra pace and energy.


MELBOURNE
Colin Sylvia will return after serving his club imposed suspension in round four. He received a one-week penalty for a pre-season indiscretion but was forced to serve it last week because it was the first week he had been fit enough to be available for selection. His inclusion is significant as he can be a game breaker. Mitch Clark is being assessed during the week to see whether he comes up after landing on his head in a marking contest on Sunday. He won't be risked if there is any doubt. Stefan Martin's hip is giving him trouble but he would be a likely replacement if Clark misses. Jack Grimes is due back from suspension this week. Sam Blease might be a chance as the Demons need run but he is not banging down the door with his form. Ricky Petterd and Tom Couch will be in the mix for selection as their VFL form is good.


NORTH MELBOURNE
Rookie midfielder Sam Gibson continued his push for senior elevation with a best on ground game for Werribee in its win against Geelong last Friday night, racking up 40 possessions and kicking three goals. Key forward Robbie Tarrant also impressed for the Tigers with three goals, while speedy onballer Ben Speight had 28 disposals. Cruize Garlett (23 possessions and a goal) and Aaron Mullett (25 and a goal) were North Ballarat's best players in its loss against Port Melbourne last Saturday. Midfielder Levi Greenwood did not play last weekend after flying to Sydney with the senior team as an emergency, but should still be strongly considered for selection.


PORT ADELAIDE
  Robbie Gray is the obvious casualty in the Power camp - he'll miss the rest of the year after he underwent a knee reconstruction on Monday night. Aaron Young could be brought into the side for his first game at AFL level, while David Rodan and Simon Phillips would also both be in contention. After a week off, ruckman Jarrad Redden might also be brought back in and Tom Logan was in the best for Glenelg last weekend.


RICHMOND
Shane Edwards will come under scrutiny after withdrawing from Sunday's team with a leg injury. His replacement, Matt White, had only three disposals after coming on as the substitute during the third quarter. The interesting one is whether the Tigers will play an extra ruckman to try to curb Dean Cox and Nic Naitanui. Tom Derickx might just get to make his AFL debut.


ST KILDA
The Saints will need to find a replacement for suspended forward Justin Koschitzke and former West Coast swing-man Beau Wilkes might be first in line. Wilkes was impressive up forward for VFL team Sandringham last week and has done everything right to earn a call-up. Jason Gram should be right to go after playing two VFL games in his return from a hamstring injury, while Farren Ray and Brett Peake are also pushing for a senior spot. Defender James Gwilt might be given some more time in the VFL after his first game in his return from a knee injury last week.


SYDNEY SWANS
The Swans have had a slightly unsettled 22 in recent weeks, making their unbeaten start to the year all the more impressive. Adam Goodes returns from suspension to face the Hawks, while Shane Mumford is on antibiotics after picking up an infection and will need to get through training this week. Nick Smith (virus) and Lewis Roberts-Thomson (cheekbone) will also be hopeful of returning to the side. Jesse White has performed his role over the past fortnight, but he, Mark Seaby and Tony Armstrong would be vulnerable if the others can prove their fitness.


WEST COAST
Premiership half-back Sam Butler continued his push for a senior call-up with 33 disposals and nine inside 50s playing for Perth in the WAFL at the weekend. It was the classy ball-user's best performance this season and could see him considered as a replacement for Luke Shuey (AC joint), who missed training on Monday and faces a fitness test later this week. Ryan Neates, who was last week's emergency, Jacob Brennan and Brad Sheppard are others on the cusp of selection.

Western Bulldogs
The Bulldogs' depleted backline stood tall against Melbourne and will this week be strengthened by the return of Brian Lake from suspension and possibly Lukas Markovic from hamstring tightness. This will release Jordan Roughead to ruck and forward duties, and elevated rookie Mark Austin might also be retained after a strong showing on Sunday. Meanwhile, another young defender, draftee Michael Talia, continues to impress in the VFL, as does key forward Tom Hill and little man Andrew Hooper. Tory Dickson and Clay Smith remain in the frame for a recall.

I find it helpfull to have all these sort of links on the one site .. yes you can see it on afl site but thats why i like fanfooty everthing you need in the one spot .. keep up the good work Ricochet ... and people should not be harsh on other people re posting these things sometimes they end up 2 or 3 pages away so its easy to miss .. he's only trying to be helpfull
