And if Chelsea somehow get out of there group, they'll obviously get somebody ridiculously hard in the second round like United or Barca, that's what always happens.

Sure, Torres isn't scoring as much as we'd like but RDM's decision backfired and badly...

Abramovich has never been RDM's biggest fan and had to be persuaded for him to become manager. If RDM does get sacked, which I hope he does, hopefully Guardiola jumps on board.

We're not gonna play well with all this stuff going on and we're more than likely flowered for both the CL and EPL.  :-\

Hazard = 35mil
Oscar = 25mil
Moses = 9mil
Marin = 7mil
Azpilicueta = 7mil

Having your champions league winning manager sacked in November, almost out of the top 3 in the league and being knocked out in the group stage = priceless.

This dissapoints me.

He was moulding a good starting 11 and squad that was working well togethor.
He has made a lot of right decisions to amp up this squad.

And just because he came from Wigan, and Guardiola is free, one run of poor form means his out there door?
There is no guarantees we will get Pep, and although that could be great, all RDM needed to do was start fixating on the tactics a bit more.

I know we aren't the best team in Europe, but i think its understandable that since we've struggled to get a coach who was able to come up with match-winning tactics, that we sign and beef up the squad in the meantime; but we had to at least give him more of a chance to prove his worth.

I think Torress is a good player, but does anyone reckon once we sell him, it will be a monkey off our backs, and it might create a bit more ease?

Don't be too sad, you've seen Chelsea go through like 6 managers in 6 years so not all too bad.

Tominator

gotta feel for Di Matteo, he won the Champions League less than six months ago, has four or five bad games and is gone a quarter of the way into the season...

Benitez being talked up as the short-term manager, Harry Redknapp thrown in there too. Pretty clear that Abrahamovich will move heaven and high water to get Guardiola to the club, but I hope for his sake that doesn't happen

(yes I'm a Man Utd fan....)

Kellogscrunchynut

If Chelsea get Guardiola it will take a long time possibly years before they start winning again.

P.S not a chelsea fan elephants :)

Cicjose

Sounds like Chelsea need a change in culture

Kellogscrunchynut

Maybe if Abramovich wasn't so impatient they would have a culture apart from being some Russian billionaires toy.

 - Stfu Jukes. Make your own Manure thread.

- No worries Kellogs haha

- RDM :'(

- flower YOU ABRAHAMOVIC. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW flowerING FOOTBALL WORKS. IT'S NOT FIFA THE MANAGER DOESN'T ACTUALLY CONTROL THE PLAYERS!! MANAGERS NEED MORE THAN 6 flowerING MONTHS TO PROVE THEMSELVES.

Not flowering pleased.

If he doesn't get sacked prior to that... Guardiola to be coach in 2013/14. Mark my words.

Nige

I just want Pep in now. ::)

Mainly because I can't stand Benitez, although that may change if he can pull something out of his arse and keep our chances of retaining our Champions League defence alive.

RDM did great though, his work in six months has been nothing short of phenomenal. Roman's just impatient and if Benitez puts a foot wrong, he'll be more than happy to pull the trigger.

And please...just please sell Torres (as much as I adore the man) and bring in Falcao!

CrowsFan

It's not really up to Benitez to keep you champs league defense alive considering qualification is out of your hands ;)

A few jokes at Chelsea's expense floating around already I see...

1. It's predicted that by 2025 you'll be no more than six feet away from an ex-Chelsea manager.

2. The decision to appoint Rafael Benitez as the next Chelsea manager has been widely criticized.
He was sacked by his three previous clubs: Valencia, Liverpool and Internazionale.
I think that gives him the perfect credentials for the job.

3. Roberto Di Matteo sacked by Chelsea.
Apparently the decision was made after the team's failure to win Wimbledon, the Grand National and bring home any Gold medals from the Olympics.

4. I've been thinking about getting some short term work over the Christmas period.
So I decided to apply for the Chelsea job

5. First Premier League manager sacked.
QPR can't even win that.

6. All the way to the end of the season??
Are you sure you can commit to such a lengthy tenure Roman?

7. Reports indicate that Roman Abramovich has approached the highly successful coach of Borussia Dortmund, Jürgen Klopp, for the Chelsea job.
Herr Klopp has made no comment, just a muffled sound like a two-legged horse walking on cobblestones.

8. Chelsea fans started getting angry when it was revealed that they signed Benitez for 2 seasons.
However, they signed with relief when Abramovich said it was from Winter to Spring

Why are people so unkind???... 8)
