VC loophole

hey i'm a bit of an idiot, but i have no idea how to do this loophole?

i can't unselect my captain, and if i trade him out the captain tag sticks?
help?

It is a partial lock-out so your if you set a Collingwood or Essendon player has your VC and your captain doesn't play then you get there score.

So say I put it on Pendles. Then he pumps 130+. I can put my captain on Ablett, he doesn't play and I get Pendles captain score.

oh i get it now, so you just set a bench player with the big C if pendles scores well.

No you put a player on the field who isn't playing with the big C.
