Im thinking of going Magner > JPK
leaving me with a midfield of Murphy,Pendles,Jobe Watson,Ablett,JPK & Mcdonald,Shiel,D.Smith
what do you guys reckon,JPK has been on fire and wont be this cheap for a while considering his b/e of 67
and also,in my league i have a bye in round 12 because we only had 17 teams so we decided to include a bye team to make it fair
so the bye is not an issue!

Was looking good at the start of the season but the past few weeks have killed me and im not sure what to do next ?  :-\

Your first mistake was jumping on Drummond.
Should have got NicNat like I did :P Sandi should be back.
Midfield is great, forwards are good cant do much about having non playing rookies. Has happened to us all.
You only copped one donut on the weekend I assume?
You might want to go C.Smith to Horsley but other than that Id be sitting tight.
However I hear Drummond is injured so you could get a rookie and upgrade Porpz.

when ever some one has mentioned JPK i have said buyer beware as i had him last year and his scores were from 50-110 each week. With socres of 113, 99 and a booming 173 i would get on the train. He smashed his BE of 121 out of the park and he now plays crows, dees and tigers in the next 3 weeks. *rubs hand togther* very worth while.

If there is a down side to JPK is that when he gets tagged by the better taggers dont expect him to get over 70, but no one is tagging him yet

Coaches! need some direction please....

I would like to bring Pendles for D.smith. One way i can do that is by downgrading Mummy to a ruck no more than $427,900. I can only see Kreuzer, Maric or Jolly as my only options? should i bring one of them in?

Another option is upgrading Mccarthy (b/e 55) but i feel he still has more money to make and would rather D.smith gone to decrease the amount of GWS players i have (8). This option would leave me more cash to afford a ruckman such as Nic Nat, Mcintosh, Jacobs or Mcevoy.

One last option i thought about while i typed this all up is downgrading D.smith to Pfieffer which leaves me enough cash to uprade Mccarthy to Pendles. However i would have to use another trade for Mummy the following week. Nic Nat, Jacobs and Mcevoys prices would not have moved alot with their b/e this week.

Okay so I could do with some help.  I have a few "problem children" in my line up and a few possible options and would love some feedback.

My biggest concern is Devon Smith.  His breakevan is now higher than his average so I'm thinking of trading him to Pfieffer.  I considered Adams from GWS as an option, but he isn't on the bubble until next week so I think he'd be a better option for next week rather than this week if he shows similar form.  With the left over cash I was thinking of upgrading Porplyzia to Beams.  Based on form v Breakevan I think Beams should get it meaning this would be the week to get him if I were to do so. Doing this would still leave me about $55k for future upgrades.  Porplyzia still has a good BE but I haven't been able to find any info on the injury that forced his withrdrawal.

I also considered Horsley from Gold Coast but as he isn't on the bubble until next week and all my midfield rookies still good Break Evans I was thinking of waiting until next week and get more for him.

My other concerns are Hargrave (he was also a late withdrawal due to injury and I haven't been able to find any info on him), Guthrie and Hall but I thought it would be as I think I can cover them if need be.

What do you think I should do?  Should I do both trades or just one trade?  Have I missed anything I should consider?

Like the option of Devon Smith and upgrading to Beams - With the injury to Ball he will get more time in the mids and is starting to find form. Upgrading Porplyza is the best option given there is a thread saying he is having scans on shoulder. You have good coverage for Hargrave as well so just sit this one out.  I would also be playing Bugg on the field rather than emergency.  Well set up team/

I am performing the ultimate sin and doubting the legend that is Gary Ablett. Recent articles on the AFL website have posed doubts that he will play this week which has got me thinking...

I scored really badly this round (1960ish) so I have this idea to get back into the game:

Money ATM: $339,200

Gablett --> Pendlebury = $446,900 (+80ish pts)

D. Smith --> Mitch Robinson = $184,300 (+50ish pts)

+ $180,000 from culling a cash cow allows me to get Gary Ablett back by getting rid of player = $357k (hoping Magner or Shiel can get to that) unless gary ablett somehow comes down in price...

Summary:
4 trades
2 upgrades
1 sideways
1 downgrade

(PS I have 20 trades in the bank ATM)

Down to 16 trades and assuming (Lake or Bugg)/(Jmac or Shiel)/Giles (majority of them) can hold down there positions only 3 more players need to be seriously upgraded (M. Clarke, B. Ellis, Milera)...

Given the amount of injuries so far this year I wouldn't be in a bad spot. I also haven't really given much thought to the byes. I Figured not many people will spend trades unless upgrading (which I'm doing early) so I'm not really losing anything.

If I don't do this then I am hoping Magner can go up 30k more than Pendles does this week. Then I can do a straight swap. Also reluctant with the rookies on the bubble this week. Not too many good options, looking at Stringer but JS is a concern, Pfieffer looks the best option or Crisp but he may get dropped like Longer did...

Or other option is Devon Smith --> Goodes but leaves me with no cash for Pendles :(

If Crisp is named I would look at that option has a negative B/E 48 so will get a handy price rise straight up especially priced at $94k. I reckon he will be in the team for the next couple of weeks until Zorko comes in. Similar types of players.
Magner has a B/e of -6 whereas Pendles is 110 so Magner will probably rise a max $30k so need to hope that Pendles does not go overboard.
