He is not named ... so hence out this week.  :)

I am pulling the trigger on Ablett, the way I look at it, I am going to use 3 trades all up for 2 prems (when I pick him up again), everyone looks like they're keeping him so I am going to have a POD strategy and trade him, hopefully he misses 3 weeks to justify this.
I have had bone bruising before and it is very painful when aggravated, which is easy to do. All GAJ has to do is drop to his knees in a contest and he will feel it, it will be running through his mind during the games he plays too. This subsequently could effect his scores. Took me months to get over a bruised bone on my knee. Even a knee brace didnt help much. If I didnt know what a bruised bone was and the effect it can have on your performance I would have kept him like the rest.

Your not Garry Ablett. He'll be back by round 7 latest

I hope anyone that trades out Ablett gets burnt. A waste of a trade, same deal with Fyfe.
There are alot of rookies to upgrade and a alot of rookies coming through, better trades for a better team is the aim of the game. Thats just me though.

He will be back but he wont have the same impact like he has in the past,  this injury is going to bring him back to level pegging with the other prems, if not a little worse.
I will bump this post in a few weeks time when he gets back just to remind you my dear friend.
There is no immediate treatment for bone bruising, you have to give it time to heal. If AFL players were super human and can play at their best with these injuries, Gary Rohan should be right in a few weeks time too. Maybe bring back Mark LeCras early.

don't know why, but i'm laughing my head off at that comment. he is barely human and i reckon he'll be back quite soon, without an effect on his scores.

Bone bruising isn't that bad. I've had it before and it doesn't really affect you physically, it just hurts. A jab of painkillers before the game and he'll be fine.

He said on twitter he is probably not playing this week

was there ever doubt,, its the GWS game the following week, which they need him for.
he'll play that game even if hes 70% fit

if he does i hope he gets 70% of his normal score - maybe a cheeky 100 to help vindicate the impetuous ones who traded him out.

It is hard to tell how long he will be out for ... it he misses two weeks then trading him out will backfire ... if he misses 4 or 5 (which is possible) then trading him out may be a master stroke!!

I think the champion deserves at least two weeks on the bench if not longer ...  :)  The other key reason i am keeping him is that i can't afford to waste the trades to get him back in again ...

pretty sure him getting 100 would be a huge win for those who traded him out.

Pretty sure you need to take another look at the meaning of vindicate.

Anyway, I'm keeping him in, I can't see how I'd be able to get him back in if he stays around the $700k mark.
