Yes, it is!! 160-240 points is not worth 2 trades. You'd trade him out, then trade him back in. 1+1=2 in my book, unless I'm from a different planet ???

Jumping in rankings in that time, will mean you fall behind in ranking later on as the others have 2 more trades to use...

Turkies

It's not 2. 1 trade to bring in Murphy for Ablett (Waste of a trade). Now, when you're going to upgrade your rooks to Murphy, you instead upgrade them to Ablett. You were already going to use the 2nd trade, so it's only a waste of one trade.

Secondly, it's not a waste paying 700k+ for him. You are selling him at the same price, so you're getting the profit of him being expensive, which you will then loose when you need to bring him in. So because you're selling him for the same price you're buying him, it doesn't really matter what price he is.

Fletch74

Maybe, maybe ::)

But, you've wasted a trade then, when others haven't...

Has no-one learnt anything from trigger happy trading this season?
Broughton to Dempsey
Shaw to Carrots
Mummy to Sandi
Fyfe to whoever
If you're going for League then there is not one sensible justification for trading him. Use Smith/Coniglio/Jmac/Caddy for your back up. over half of the competition will be in the same boat as you and you will be -1 when the GAJ man is back. Two weeks max surely?!?!

Babylove

Unless he's gone for the season, hold.  He's to valuable to not do so, and at his current price (he went up again despite the injury) he'll be difficult to get back if you do.  As someone else said, a majority of teams are in the same boat, and look at what happened last week.  A lot of people went from Shaw who will probably miss a couple of matches at most, to Carazzo who went on to do an eight week injury.

Turkies

Yes I know it's a wasted trade, it just depends how many points you think a trade is worth. If you havent used up many trades yet, it could be a move that will put you ahead. Come the end of the season, if you've got 0 trades and everyone else has 1, if someone like franklin is rested and you play a benched player, you could be losing say 30-50 points while everyone else can just trade him out. But that 30-60 points won't be enough for the 160-240 points you've made during this period.

I agree trading out Shaw was silly, as was broughton, as was Fyfe. I didn't do any of those trades. You guys sound happy to stay with the pack. Surely you want to move up overall? I'm talking strictly for those going for overall, by the way.

Not saying I'll do it, I don't make up my mind with trades until 5 minutes before lockout :D, but just providing food for thought.

McDonald, Magner & Shiel is pretty decent cover.  Shiel is just starting to come good.

Turkies

For me it will be either Greene or Smith :/ only 2 premium Mids now GAJ is down. Will be waiting to see who Sheeds has cut

vtaced

you can't trade him..its such a waste of trades.

remember everyone you play will be in the same boat.

HotTiges

Cogs or shiel should be good back up.captain is now an issue.cant trade him as every premo is going down inj.

Well I will be trading out Ablett to either Marc Murphy/Stanton then when he returns bring him straight back in. I was planning on upgrading to Marc Murphy/Stanton in 2-3 weeks when my rookies are close to their breakeven. Effectively loosing one trade but gaining possibly 70 - 100 points per round than not using a rookie.

This is my chance to catch the leaders.

QuoteHe's a total narcissist that recently quoted his favourite book as being 'How to become a superhuman' Of course he wants to win the brownlow. Team man? A Gold Coast team man? Seriously guys. He will want to play and unless he himself is convinced that he may jeopardise his season by playing, then he will play!!!!!!!

What's wrong with wanting to win the brownlow? You can only do that by doing stuff for the team, better than anyone else. That's like saying wanting to score test centuries is selfish.

Agree with the second part though - he wants to play. If I was that good so would I
