This day sucks balls.

Ziplock

there's a big big sound from the west of the town

it's the sound of port adelaide folding as a club.

you guys are actually screwed... gc and gws will be taking the most of the talent for the next couple of years :P

Noz

If GC and GWS get priority picks this year to go with Melbourne and Bulldogs compensation pick our first pick won't be until possible 6 or 8.

Which flowering sucks

Tominator

holy shower....

just when you thought Port couldn't get any worse

and neither should they! not this year, next year, for if idiot Demetriou gives them more pick (they need mature players anyway) he's just going to ruin the bottom clubs like Port

Ok firstly  THE SKY IS NOT FALLING...
Tigers lost to GC,  port lost to GC last year aswell.. you would have to think its purely a mental thing when playing the 2 new clubs...
NOW the problem port have is this.. Skill level mistakes, basic things like kicking.. now that should be able to be improved(but not overnight)... If i was Primus thats all i would work on skill training, skill training, skill training.. cut back on weights and endurance training and just work on kicking...
We dont have a decent ruck atm(the young ruck guys might be ok,but it will take a few years).
The backline isnt that bad ::), mid-field isnt that bad ::) and even the forwardline is starting to take shape. schulz is a focal point with westhoff and butcher as two ok leading talls. We miss Gray as a mid option small forward, but all teams have injuries so thats no excuse.
The problem with losing these easy games(and playing crap in general)  is quality players wont want to stay/come to the club i.e. getting Boak to re-sign..

Jay

First team to lose to both GCS & GWS?

Yes port :P

Shaggy

Don't listen to what tbag says, guys clueless.

Port are terrible and it has nothing to do with Primus. The players just do not want to play anymore, just no effort put in by them week in week out.

Toughest thing about Port's future is it's lack of corporate attractiveness due to its inept on field performance, sure more money will come when they (and the Crows) move to Adelaide Oval but the Crows have sooo much more coin that in 2014 we will probably see a Crows reserves side in the VFL, making them even more stronger.
This reserves side would decimate the SANFL if it was to play here in SA in its own right and thus the planned model is to move interstate and preserve the SANFL comp. Port do not have the money to do the same and SANFL coaches will continue to bugger  the roles of AFL returning players and in turn bugger Ports planning and structures moving forward.

You think they are bad now, wait and watch their demise spiral, it will be like a car crash at Alberton this week - lots of people slowing down to take a look but no one getting out and giving a hand.

Will Primus quit? An exit from the coaches box with 3.20 left on the clock spoke volumes about where this once proud club is.

After hearing about today's result from Italy, I had to weigh in. I think he left the box early because the accounts I've heard he had enough. He's under a lot of pressure Roost and there's only so much a human being can take with the cameras rolling. Who knows, maybe he had a cry in the rooms before the players came down, I don't know. But he's breaking and what were seeing now is the product of the last few years where resources and skills coaches were cut. The team is using a amateur league budget. It's really sad. As a supporter for almost 20 years it's convenient for me to be overseas right now. But the board made bad decisions, they need to be accountable. I don't think the list is as bad as everyone says, but we badly need Gray on the park and another small forward like him.
