As topic suggests, what do you guys think Fyfes' chances his shoulder will go? Anyone got any medical knowledge on this? Did it pop out all the time last season? If so how did he manage to score so well? Am 50/50 on this still. Hardest decision. Plays with no injury and you trade - waste of 2-3 trades and won't drop below 470 k still expensive to get back.
Plays gets injured and don't trade - lose 80 - 100 k and hard to get a replacement.

All comes down to his shoulder. I mean just cause he's cleared to play - all that means is the specialist is confident there is little risk of longer term damage if his shoulder pops out again. BUT it could still pop out. What then? He pops it in keeps playing the season out OR goes in for surgery early?

So many variables...

Sorry I know there's a huge thread on this. Just thought no-one was looking at it anymore...

It'll go again this season, no doubt about it. It's just a matter of what Freo do when it does.

If they put him into surgery next time it goes (which they said they would do), then he's gone for the season. If they don't, then he'll be able to play through it like he did last year. In this day and age, players don't play unless they are right to go. It's too risky putting a player out there who could get subbed off in the first quarter due to previous injury. Therefore I would assume that Fyfe is as good as he was before last week.

Everyone knew the risk they were taking with Fyfe, the shoulder was always a chance to get disslocated even before last week.

A big chance, I would trade, see how much he drops in the next 3 weeks. Then see, and possibly upgrade a rookie, you'll lose too much cash for too big a risk.

With the shoulder he is definitely not an upgrade target, the risk is always remains. But I'm hanging onto him, he gets another 6-7 games at his usual level he'll regain his starting price and score well in the meantime.
