Bluey,

Defence not to bad. Seems to be 4 keepers which is good and possibly Kennelly also if he has a good year.

Mids : Pretty good. Risky starting 2 rookies though. I would start one.

Rucks: Good. Do you have emergencys?

Forwards: All gunned up! 5 guns..... I would make sure your midfield is right first beforing gunning up the forwards.

Dees for the Draft

Black and Tappy are no guarantees for games, and you've got Gumbleton starting.

I'd be a bit careful as you could be looking at a round 1 forward line doughnut.

I'd look at Strauss rather than Blease, as Blease has only just started kicking and handball drills.

Not convinced about Hille in the ruck, he's cheap, but he's got no pre-season and may not play round 1.  I reckon Mummy could be a better bet as a cheap ruckman.

Backs look good, although bear in mind that Enright and Goddard are coming off career best seasons and could be cheaper later.

Wilkopolis

Like the look of the backline.  Think Kanga was being rough only nominating 4 keepers.  I count 5 + Kennelly, although Magire will never be a heavy scorer.  Some doubt as to whether Goddard will be pickable as a back also.

Midfield is light on.  2 rookies + Palmer (better DT than SC)

As mentioned, Hille most likely wont be 100% by rd 1.  I like Tippett much better as a ruck than fwd anyway.  My advice would be to see if you can switch them around.

Kangamagic

Thats if Kennelly has a good year Wilko then that makes 5 keepers  ;D

blueyman229

Cotcin instead of palmer? or mcveigh and I had mitch clarke for my rucks but i traded him for hille to upgrade rookies any other potential cheap ruckmens I should look out for? And Kangamajic u think I should downgrade one of my forwards to upgrade a rookie mid?

Brand

Hopefully Warnock will finally play for the Blues, Lobbe is definitely pencilled in as Brogan's back up for Port along with Trengove, although Trengove is more likely to be used down back with stints in the ruck if needed. Port has very big wraps on Trengove.

blueyman229

oh yer thoes 2 were my rucks ;)

Kangamagic

Bluey,

I agree with Wilko if you can put Tippett in the ruck and lose Hille then that would free up cash for another midfielder. Who are your other rucks? So if you put maybe Cunnington as a forward then that would leave a spot for another midfielder hopefully within midprice range depends with what money you have left.

Wilkopolis

Apart from Warnock & Lobbe  who I think you were referring to as your emergencies Bluey there are other options such as Trengrove, Skipper and maybe Trent West (you just know Ottens is going to blow up at some stage) or Laycock if you're feeling desperate  ;D

Best option would be to swap a gun forward for Cunnington, Tippett to ruck and then see what cash you have to invest in the mids.

Kanga, Enright + Goddard + Fisher + Harbrow + Hodge = 5 keepers straight up.  Kennelly would make six. Am I missing something  ???

Dees for the Draft

I agree.  Tippett into the ruck for Hille

Cunnington in for Black

Dangerfield in the forward line.

Gumby to the bench.

Kangamagic

@Wilko - maybe its me that doesn't think Harbrow is a keeper thats why ;D 5 scores above 100 in 20 games average of 84 not to bad i guess. He is on the up and he is so tiny I didn't see him on the field! ;)

@bluey - so your emergency rucks are warnock and lobbe? thats handy.

Poor Laycock he cops a hammering by everyone!  ;D Hope he comes out next season with his kicking boot on and bags about 50 goals that would write off all his critics!!  ;D

oh yer think i should put cunningham in for gumby and 44k in the bank

Dees for the Draft

Keep an eye on Gumbleton's fitness.  You've got Walker and Gumbleton in the same forward line and Tappy's games aren't known.  Could easily be carrying a doughnut.

Not sure about starting Macguire in the backline either.  There's better options - bring in Shepard.

Keep an eye on Blease's recovery from his broken leg also.  He's just been doing light drills so far.
