Think the forward line is too risky?

Your side looks alrite atm.

Wat i would do is trade McPhee or Ryder down to another mid-pricer, trade Rich to a Ward or a Swift or someone like that, and then trade Burton up to someone like a Rioli or a Gray.

Reasons for this is that while Rich has still some more improvement i cant see him inproving by more than 5ppg.  Burton is getting older now and while he still looked alrite at the end of last year, I cant see him averaging a lot.

Anzac, loved your advice on Burton - was very worried about that. I have been looking for a good mid-pricer for Rich... But it is so hard to trade him out because I have a mancrush on him haha.

Blueboys, I am banking on Gibbs and Cooney being just as good as averaging 110+ this year - that is the gamble I decided to take at the end of last year. But may be worth trading Gibbs up...
I agree with your ruck comments - but I am so over choosing Cox...

Gibbs and Cooney should do well but Swan and Gazza can pull 150+ and as captain it's a winner.

I am not getting Cox either but I had him last year. Still have a few rucks to pick from, Sandi, Jolley, Hille or McIntosh all look good.

Good start,

Defence: Maybe downgrade Buckley for either Ladson or Waters(if fit for round 1). WIth the downgrading in this area you can use on your other ruck inclusions.

Mids : Gibbs and Cooney are good selections - Dalziell will rise in value as will Palmer. Rich could improve his average- as Luke Power will be used more in the forward line as a crumbing forward and this will give Rich more time in the middle with Black. They will give Rich the ball more with his precise kicking skills.

Rucks: Kreuz is a good selection. Nic Nat I was eyeing him but im not so sure now. Currie im not sure on i had him this season and he didnt play. With Seaby,Mumford and White at the Swans be hard for him to get a game. Lobbe is a good pick. You could even go for Warnock,Skipper in the ruck or and Hille even if his not ready for Round 1 he will play probably after that.

Forwards: As said Burton is risky. You could go for Mayne or if you had enough cash LeCras(also gray and rioli as suggested). Veszpremi is a good pick I think he will be good for the Swans and indicated by Pauls Roos he will play in defence. Could get some good numbers.

Hey Kangamagic!

Thanks for the tips.

I am a Westcoast man and can guarentee you that Waters will not play until round 4 or 5 atleast and when he does play - he will score poorly for a while. He has come off a pretty unheard of injury and we are not sure how he will recover.

I have gotten rid of Burton now... I ended up trading Rich down to Ward and Burton upto Rioli.
