who has been getting the sub for the hawks mainly this year?

Jack Gunston rounds 1 and 2, Shane Savage last week. If I'm honest, Savage is a lot more likely than Whitecross to get dropped if someone has to make way, but I still worry that Whitecross won't play his usual free role.

Last year Whitecross actually played a similar role to what Gunston is playing this year. He may be our new recruit, but Gunston wiould make way long before Whitecross. It would be either Gunston or Savage who are left out, although this week Breust may have a to miss due to concussion.
I much preferred Hawthorn's structure in the Adelaide match. One less tall meant a much better team balance, greater running power. Key Defence still a massive concern. Other than that, they look pretty good.
Gibson played awesome though,

Well this is what Clarko has to say about Whitecross ;)

Quote...he's developed a really strong and aggressive attack on the footy and we really think as the years progress he'll develop into a key midfielder...another strong preseason more opportunities in the midfield will come his way this year, and we're expecting he'll emerge as a pretty important player

It's what I'd do as well, but I cannot risk starting 4 rookies in the FWD's and I haven't got a DPP link to the mids.

So, I'll get Goodes to keep the bye structure..

Haha you've changed your mind so many times now! First Adams, then maybe Whitecross, then Boomer, now Goodes. Who is it if Goodes gets week?

Great write-up Praetorian. I've been heavily considering him for Fyfe, I actually took notice of him last week, looked good in the game against Geelong and the nice DT points were a bonus. However your list of cons make a lot of sense, and he might not be worth the risk over other proven options. It's still hard to go past the fact he might be breaking out and scoring very well for a forward, even a role shift might only drop his scores to the 90s, which are still a great return.

For people with a DPP link is Barlow a serious consideration? Or would Robinson be a better option???

For Fyfe, you mean? That's probably a better discussion for the Fyfe thread, but I'd suggest that if you're even thinking about Barlow, you've got to get him this week. He very well might not be this cheap ever again. Him for Fyfe also won't hurt your bye structure, although you'll be sacrificing DPP flexibility.

Sorry mate, i sorta assumed this was generated because of the Fyfe issue, my bad.. You know what happens when we assume??!!  :P

Ill raise the point in the Fyfe threads... It seems as though most of the Fyfe discussions are looking at trading another forward rather than having a DPP look at it too...

I dont like whitecross, but he wont be dropped he has been very good.

The F.A.R.K.

if you dont have danger youd have to go him ahead of whitecross

danger is in top 5 players at crows but wont draw a big tag, scotty t or sloane will get that garunteed

he is hard at the ball and has put on a lot of muscle, he had 18 contested possesions last week

he can kick a few goals

has an easy fixture

whitecross might not be in best 22 if hodge comes back he has just hit a purple patch, he only got 4 contested possesions which shows he could have quite games if he has to find his own ball and hodge is coming back this week and will likely take his role

Yeah well, there is so many options to choose from.  :P

I'm sticking with Goodes if he get's off the charges, if he gets week/s I'll be in trouble.  :P

I'm going with Robinson, still not convinced with Whitecross maybe later in the year if he is still playing well.

Im on Robbo .. i sacrifice round 13, i dont care there are too many good players that have that bye

Not to mention Whitecross is round 13 too. If you can afford Robinson, I don't know why you'd go Whitecross tbh.

You guys think this is a stoopid move ?

I want Robinson in for Fyfe ..  I dont have enough cash  :-[

Dont like any of the other forward options at all

Im thinking trade J.Cameron (GWS) for Treloar so i have enough cash to do the Robbo - Fyfe trade

Yes Cameron will probably still go up a little but i want a Premo replacement for Fyfe because im doing alright in the rankings and also want to do well in leagues

Im hoping that Treloar is one of those guys you would use a trade on anyway ( depends if he is named this week)

What you think i know its 2 trades but ill end up with a top 5 forward (?) and a gun rook (?)

Kellogscrunchynut

Have you used any trades yet?
