If anything wait till Drummond plays another game before jumping on him. Dempsey is only out for 2-3 weeks so have him on the bench and check his BE when he returns? Could also go fyfe to say Chapman or a unique in sidebottom?

where did you get dempsey out fro 2-3 weeks??? all reports i've seen are he was subbed out to protect him in the following matches...not that serious of an injury

JamSainter

Did anyone see Chapman tonight?
he was woeful and slow. He is on his last legs. Wouldn't pick him.

Whitecross is a lock I think ... this guy just keeps killing it this season ... he was very solid last year and has a nice history of increasing each year.  He is also now a lock in the Hawks best 22!!

The issue with Dempsey and any player who gets injured is that if they play the next week they will probably get vested.  This could go on for a few weeks ... as much as I don't want to waste a trade ... can i afford to have him sitting on the pine after my disaster of a week this week (pendles captain, fyfe, dempsey, chapman, magner, milera).

Thinking of Dempsey for Carrazzo ...

Was hoping for overall but after this week and a narrow loss top 8 in my league is looking shakey!!  :)

maybe thats a bit ambitious, mpollock. i dont know how long youve been playing supercoach but i assume not very long, youll learn the game soon enough  :D

Agree lock was out of place ... so who is your recommendation?  :)

Whitecross is averaging 110 and has improved out of site in the past 12 months.
He has averaged that against Collingwood, Geelong and Adelaide ... not bad if you ask me.
Now clearly in the Hawks best 22 ... averaged basically 70 last year in 18 games ... logical improver this year.

I know there are other options ... N.Roo, Harvey, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, C.Cornes, Cloke, Robo etc ... but having a POD in your team and jumping on a breakout player early may make all the difference.  Also frees up some cash to get another premium ...

Makes sense to me ... (and no, not new to SC and have finished as high as 800 so not a total dud at this game - also far from an expert so happy to hear why my logic is so wrong)  :)

Thoughts on Sidebottom's ceiling now that Ball is out?

DPP/ more mid time / keeper?

Sidebottom for Fyfe?

i dont disagree with you at all, but it is only a judgement on 3 games, wow well done! just the way youve been talking about risks and then you got 1900 seemed like a typical 1st/2nd year SCer but obviously not

fyfe's price is $528 600 ( lost $ 57 100 ) and with a BE of 201 will loose $ 54 840 next round and could
drop over $ 100 000 in the next 3 rounds

Those numbers with an injured player spell absolute disaster. If there is any doubt about the shoulder he has to go.
Even a vest if he plays spells disaster. If he doesn't play 1-4 weeks it's out as well.

I'm looking at moving one of my DPP foward, trade Fyfe out for Micky Barlow $ 440 800 BE 91 and looks to have
bottomed out ( 2 games vested and 1 full game he lost only $12 800 ). I have a feeling he may be about to explode very soon

Barlow looks a good buy firend if have fyfe in the mid-field.
I have been thinking of maybe bringing in Jack Riewoldt ;) ;) ;). As he can score some large scores and can really break or make a week if he gets it right. only 400,000 as well for a premium. Maybe Robison, Chapmen or Whitecross also?

Thoughts?

Don't know what to do with Fyfe. Current Forwards are Goodes, Cornes, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Martin, Kennedy, Smith, Hall, Cameron.

Basically need a R12 forward to balance things up as I'll be getting Franklin soon but I'm just short for Fyfe > Franklin. The R12 players have been poor though so I'm a bit stuck on what to do. Pavlich has been poor, so have SJ/Chapman and I don't trust Cloke to get me consistent points. Only really have Sidebottom left but I don't want another midpricer.

Was thinking of bringing in Roughead or N.Roo but I'll have too many R13 players come round 13 and I was going to bring in Harvey after his R11 bye as I have 2 R11 players already. I was thinking of holding Fyfe for a week and hoping Franklin drops the 15k I need to get him, otherwise I'd bring Pavlich in after his price drop to even the byes up but Goodes is out now too.

Agreed. Seems perfectly logical.

Free Kick

the thing is you have to weigh up a POD. most occasions following the pack is what you need to do. if you get the POD wrong you go backwards. if i'm trading in someone from a PROVEN scorer  who i'm forced to trade out - there is no way in hell i'm bringing in an NON PROVEN scorer to replace fyfe's (probable) 100 average. i want a bonafide gun for the rest of the season.  the thing is lukey hodge to come back to that midfield throws in an unknown for whitecross.

but hey you get the POD right - boom! i'm not punting on whitecross personally.

i think this may be right here. the game has got faster and clubs just can't take anyone who is only 90% fit.  BE's you bring up there do spell disaster as if he crashes and burns in a few weeks you get no collateral with fyfe's value going right down. i can bring in marc murphy and have 96k left. seriously considering.
would be easier if he just gets the tap out

Their injury icons say Dempsey expected back round 5 and fyfe indefinite. Wait and see though. Mumford was indefinite last week
