I am urging Monty to change this as I think it's embarrassing for him to have this up on his site, as it shows:

a) He has absolutely no idea about cultural sensitivity,
b) He is living in the 1980's, and
c) He doesn't actually listen to the people whom have valid points on the website.

Change it to Alcatraz or something, gees...

Ziplock

I don't care about cultural sensitivity. I'm pissed I never got to climb it. A rocks a rock no matter what you call it.

that time of month again wes? :P

FisherSaints

MY cousins couldn't climb cause they (National Park) said it could rain on an almost cloudless day

m0nty won't see it here  ;) If you would like to bring it up with go to the Feedback board  :)

TheMailman

Does a web page depicting fantasy AFL stats have to have the upmost amount of cultural sensitivity?

Boomz

Fair call Wes but not exactly the best way to go about it...

Kinda 50/50 here. I agree with MM and Zip that it is only a fantasy footy web site and doesn't need to be politically correct 100% of the time BUT I do see why a good deal of people may be upset or frustrated by this...

I have to agree with Zip on this one. Nothing wrong with Ayers Rock.

Read this thread again Ziplock (aka Zarts) http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,41506.msg520119.html#msg520119 and try and convince us that your response to Wes above was not from a specific vilification perspective. If you say shower often enough it becomes ingrained, that is why Ayers Rock was commonly changed back to Uluru. We had no right to name it in the first place.

Equality not racism, acceptance not hatred.

Stay premium.

Wes Mantooth

Its official name is Uluru and out of respect should be named as such.

Yes John, that's all thats getting on my goat with regard to this site. I started ignoring all of the other problems a while back.

See Roosters point above. Its about calling everything by its right name.
