The Nathan Fyfe Thread

Was planning on holding Fyfe for the week but now that Goodes has been offered a week I will have to trade (unless Dickson receives an unlikely call-up). Damn.

What are people's thoughts on a Fyfe to Smedts and Shiel to Goddard pair of trades? Would leave God in the mids until my first cashcow cull in the backline.

I was thinking the same thing, and really regretting trading dickson to greene last week and killing my dpp link. Now i'm considering going a rookie mid to treloar when he's on the bubble and upgrade fyfe to M.Murphy.

I think a lot of people will be going with a similar approach just because there isn't many non-r13 bye forwards that are worth trading to. I already have robinson, buddy, sidebum, martin, danger and i'm really struggling to find someone to replace fyfe.

It's a shame that we have to get rid of a cash cow so early for this to work, but the idea is not outrageous at all.

Would love to whatlez, but that would leave me with three GWS rookies in the forward line - perhaps one too too many if they collectively have a stinker.

Anyone have any thoughts on Rhys Stanley as a Fyfe replacement? Has a delicious -47 BE and has managed an average of 88 in his three games.

Or am I grasping at straws  :-\

I was entertaining the idea of getting a smoky fwd like Ballantyne or MJ.

But Fyfe is/was my number 2 FWD. So I'm just getting a gun and be done with it.
