Then how come a superstar like Pavlich couldn't junk it up then?  ???

Because he plas forward, the delivery was woeful, and the opposition respect him. He doesn't stand by himself on a wing playing kick to kick

LOL junk time on the fwd line that would be something lets kick it to each other instead of through those big white posts that you get points for kicking through  :o

there wasn't much junk time in this game...if u actually watched it, broughts had to fight pretty hard for all his possessions...look at his tackle count!!

ok he had 20 possessions and 6 marks - if you didn't watch the game which your comment suggests you didn't 16 of the possessions were uncontested, all of the marks were uncontested.

that's not fighting hard.

and NO junk time, LOL brisbane didn't compete after half time, at all, broughton took all his marks in the second half and 3/4 of his possessions.

ok he had 23 possessions and 7 marks. why mess with the statistics? to support your argument? ha. what a pathetic point you are trying to make as well. FACT- GB scored well in DT and SC. suck it up.

another fact? collingwood got smashed by 10 goals.

you sound very sour. take a cold bath and turn the computer off for the rest of the weekend. get some sun.

Victorius Secret

i didnt trade out broughton because i couldn't log on before lockout.

will be keeping him now...  :)

I traded him out but still happy with my decision ... he is so up and down i am happy to see the back of him ... hopefully I can get some money out of Dempsey (or he turns into a keeper even) ... then in come Birchall or Carrazzo who are more consistent.

Glad I also got rid of Pavlich allowing me to get M.Murphy ... Pav will come back but he won't score the 130 average of Murphy ... better to have spent the money elsewhere.

ouch dempsey , bet not happy now

DT Gun

Jeez there is some weak excuses coming out!

I know it hurts, but those who traded broughton should be sour!

Never trade out premiums, and if you did research on broughton you would know he is very up and down!!

And to rub salt in the wounds he is now a key midfielder for the rest of the season!

I had fyfey but ill straight him to robinson and be laughing to the bank!

TMurphBROWNLOW

astonished by all the hate that still remains for Broughton... give him a break! you can't say Goddard week in week out doesn't do what Broughton did. he gets his numbers the same way Broughton does!

Kuruki

Seems to me there is allot of negative Nancy's about Broughton's game. I come to the conclusion that they probably had him and traded him out...haha.
Fyfe looks like he could spend a few months on the sidelines. That is a big plus for Broughton owners, with Fyfe's likely replacement to be Silvagni.

Windigo

It'd be stupid for Lyon to persist with Fyfe. Anyone see the press conference, he could play this week, but on the other end of the scale he is out for the season.

Yep it all depends if he needs to have surgery or not. The shoulder probably feels ok already it depends if they think it will continue to slip in and out without surgery. If they think it will be ok, he will continue to play with it just like last year.

Alka

A high score against the Lions was surely expected? The injury to Fyfe, allowing Broughton time around the ball, was not. It's this that helped him.

I traded him out fully expecting a decent score this week, however at the end of the day, he's not always going to be playing the midfield high DT scoring role we saw in the NAB cup. The Fyfe injury is an interesting one as to what will happen to him, but with Mundy back, I still seeing him largely being used as a utility and scoring low in many games to come.

Praetorian

There's an irony here somewhere. Everyone who criticised those who traded Broughton out on the basis of two games, are now crowing on the basis of one game!

I stand by my previous point that Broughton is the best small defender Freo have. Lyon was forced to play Broughton in the mids due to Fyfe's injury; next week he'll have the luxury of naming a permanent midfielder in Fyfe's place. I wouldn't get too comfortable just yet.

Yeah ... getting Dempsey in hurt this week but he should play next week ... i am worries about the vest however or him doing a major hammy injury.  :)

But you make your trades, accept them good or bad, and move on!!
No sour grapes here ... I have used 4 trades already:

1) Hale for Milera - happy with this as Milera will make money and Hale not playing the role i expected ... and scoring crap
2) Parker for Stanton ... stanton has three solid scores (even 92 this week is not terrible) and has shown he will tackle hard when being tagged ... much improved player .. Parker had a good week and will make some money but still very happy with this trade
3) Broughton for Dempsey ... didn't work ... but who knows .. Dempsey could kill it next week and Broughton could turn back into a lock down player ... time will tell!!
4) Pav for M.Murphy ... happy with this as i think Pav will lose a lot of money and got me my 5th gun midfielder ... this is where all the real points come from

Looks like one more trade this week to get rid of Fyfe ... may gamble on Whitecross .. seriously improved player over the past 12 months!!

Lucastorm

Haha so sick of hearing about this bloke....

First all the hate, now all the love... what happens when he flowers up next week/.? More hate?? A million more trade broughton threads?!!

Hats off to all the dudes who kept the faith!

And after this weeks performance that is why you never sideways trade premiums. :)
