Why is Everitt playing??

Why is Everitt in the team if he is going to be the sub??

Surely there are better players like Gordon, Seaby, Harry that would be better subs then Everitt.

TheMailman

Who would they have instead? (on field I mean to replace Smith)

Seaby - Swans aren't putting any green vests near Talls after round 1 last year.....

Gordon - He's obviously good enough to be promoted. Didn't really show enough last year IMO but I agree that he deserves another chance.

Cunningham - Not sure exactly why the Swans simply played then dropped him. Either not put him in or keep him, he played like 15 minutes of football.

Everitt (although he's not great) has things going for him.

1. He's provided more than Nath, Harry and Mark.
2. He fits into Smith's build and position well.
3. Fairly quick
4. Ok at marking and kicking

In the end I don't think it matters, as Smith will probably just come back next week and replace him anyway.

Apparently Mitchell is back in 2 weeks or so though so I wouldn't mind him getting a run :)

Capper

I dont mind the straight swap Smith to Everitt but why start him as the sub then??

TheMailman

He's fairly quick and I think Longmuire didn't want to waste the form of Jetta and Rohan for the first 3 quarters or so

SydneyRox

Hate everitt. He is so unsure and sloppy when he handles the ball and he gets caught ball watching all the time.

would prefer ANYONE on our list to play over him. Armstrong was in the reserves best on the w/e

Capper

am thinking
Harry in for McGlynn
Armstrong for Everitt
TDL for Goodes (if required)

Surely he will play a couple of weeks of the 2s before playing 1s

twisted the ankle, but i dont think he will miss.

TheMailman

Mcglynn and Goodes both missing is not what we need  :'(

Hoping everything pulls up well

Capper

Swans v North @ SCG in Wet = Mummy as C

Alot of stoppages = alot of ball ups

If you have the ruck compo or Hmac and Mummy you are in for a feast this weekend

SydneyRox

is it going to rain?

That makes me feel a little better, but would prefer Mcglynn was named still....

Goodes missing is enough.

Yep, raining in Syndey on and off till monday atleast

TheMailman

Everitt still in the team!

Along w/ Walsh and Armstrong and Cunningham Seaby.

Will they be doing a tandem ruck? Not sure why else they'd put Seaby there unless Mumford is worse for wear...

Capper

Hopefully Harry or Wlash in for Goodes, Armstrong for Everitt and Seaby as cover for Mummy (as a cold and wet Sydney might see mummy not play with his back problems)

SydneyRox

Looking forward to getting a look at Armstrong, hope he holds his place next week, Goodes in Everitt out.
