I think talk of a collingwood bottom 9 finish is a bit much...

Kraka, Dids, Tarrant, N.Brown all out are in our best 22, plus Macaffer, who is at worst a good backup player. Plus Reid out early, and Ball out by half time, reduced to 2 men on the bench.

Don't mind losing these early games, as long as we can get all our players fit, suffer no more big injuries, stay in the top4, by finals we should be a huge threat if we are fit and firing. last year we peaked too early and were shot by finals. no point belting a side by 100 points in the early rounds.

Pendles played like a spud. That mark he dropped....

Sidey did really well, Clarke dropped off... and Shaw did solid.

Overall pretty happy, except Pendles who spudded it up hard out.

So who do they beat in a prelim in melbourne to make the grandy?  Pies?  Blues?  Cats? Hawks?

Lol...neither.  Carlton had them beat AT SUBI, WITHOUT gibbs and kruezer in the finals.  But nup.....cant call the absolutely blatant, obvious hold glass has on walker in the goal square.  If you say this isnt a free...then you are delusional.  Every replay shows glass , nice dirty big wrap around the waist.....but hey its ok.

So if the eagles make it...it will be the typical 25 on 22 rubbish we see most weeks.  If its fair footy ( perish the thought) they finish out the 4....and are gone 2 finals max.

Carlton look scary, and play the cats very very well.  Eagles? Pffffftttt......gave them a 60 point lead at home minus selwood and still nearly got em.  And when it mattered in finals...were touched up after 2quarters.

The Eagles will have 2 wins away from home in the bank after this round. They will win just about every game at home. So they're already on about 13-14 wins, give them 1 or 2 more soft games away like Melb and top 4 is in the bag. If they get a home final they're in the GF. But they won't win it. You don't take into account the AFLs ability to cheat to help their pet teams also. The NAB draw looked like they wanted a Crows Eagles GF all along. I bet they'll be wanting another interstate flag soon.
