half wanted to see bucks fail but its not saying much for his education either

Colliwobblers

oh and who the flower is sinclair, is this as deep as our list is now?

Mr.Craig

Is Daisy wearing lifts in his shoes? He seems about 3 inches taller than I remember him. ???

Very good point Colli. I think the Pies' depth will definitely be tested this year. Not saying Krakouer, Macaffer and Davis (also gone) are world-beaters, but they are solid AFL footballers, with seasoned bodies. Add to that the shorter-term injuries that interrupted the preseason of many players and now injuries to Tarrant, Reid (KPP backs) & Luke Ball & I would say it's a serious concern.

I get the feeling it would be a very different story had they been able to bring on one of Krakouer, Macaffer or Davis when Reid was subbed out...

Same goes for West Coast losing LeCras, Nicoski & now Embley. 2 or 3 injuries aren't the end of the world, but when there are a few more on top, it starts to cause serious headaches.

Point is, it's so damn hard to win a flag - need to have so much luck with injuries. That's why my tip to play in the GF this year is the Hawks & the Blues. (As a Cats fan it wouldn't surprise if we picked up a few injuries with our players getting older...)

Shaggy

Already writing the Eagles off Talisman? I'd argue they are much better for the spot than the blues.

I don't think Sinclair is doing too badly considering limited opportunity. You need to play your kids eventually and I reckon he's doing alright!

Shaw isn't going to bad now. He might get 90. I'll take that.

matt1985

I hope Sidey can get to at least 80! Been a bit disapointed in him so far.

Talisman

No, no, no. Not writing them off by any stretch. On the contrary, I think they will sit within the top 4 all year.

What I'm saying is that to PLAY in a grand final and then actually WIN a flag is just so, so hard that you cannot afford to have ANYTHING go wrong...

We know they (the Eagles) have lost 2, possibly 3, of their best 18 (Lecras and Embley probably in their top 8-10 players) for the season. So the problem is if they lose 1 or 2 more, or a couple for a few weeks every few weeks, you have to start bringing in some untried players who might not be up to the pace against the top teams. You've only got to see what the Blues are doing to the Pies (last year's grand finalists) to know that injuries are - in my mind - the number 1 problem, once you're in the top 4-6 teams and are really challenging...

What I'm getting at is that the loss of Lecras, Nicoski & Embley might not really be felt until after rounds 18, 19, 20. They'll really feel those losses at th pointy end of the season.

Justin Bieber

Sidey 90 min. Pendles 80 min. Shaw 90 min and Clarke 85. Pretty happy after slow start if all that happens.

stew42

To be fair, they have improved DT wise :)

In AFL terms (i.e. not DT) What does this game mean? Is Carlton getting elite, or are Collingwood choking to a bottom 9 finish? Pendles has been my only disappointment

MLS

Am I the only one that thinks Swan looks about 5kg over weight??
