not sure which rookies are the way to go, specially in rucks and backs

Wouldn't worry too much about the rookies just yet, just keep your ear to the ground and pay really close attention to the NAB cup games and read what the coaches are saying (between the lines).  I think you have big problems up forward - maybe keep Pavlich and rethink the others.  I think you need a fair bit more class up there.

Backs: Keep Hodge, Fisher, Kennelly, Mcphee (he should do well at freo), Birchell should have a good year to you would hope. Grimes and Davis should be okay and maybe keep McGuire.
Not to sure with Andrew Walker now he has lost the plot with the lastest indicent at Crown Casino with Houlihan and weather or not he is fair dinkum about his footy and being a professional AFL player.
I have been a fan of his footy ability but with DT and SC I would get rid of him and put someone else in Hunt or Waters and hopefully they are ready for round 1 when it comes around keep track of Nab Cup games.

Midfield: Keep Gibbs, Bartel, Palmer, Dalziell. Burgoyne hopefully starts pre season training and gets his knee right for round 1 he would be a good pick up to have if fit.
Rookies seem good also.

Rucks: Brennan should go okay they say he will get more midfield time next season, Tippett should have another solid season, Skipper keep and Warnock should have a good year hopefully with the Blues and have heaps of game time. But if you wanted to free up some cash you could either lose Brennan or Tippett and get a rookie and start Skipper or Warnock on ground.

Forwards: Seems abit weak only Pavlich is a keeper here. I would try and get another gun in there somehow by freeing up cash. Hall seems okay but I think his best is past him really and with the way the Bulldogs play they have alot of midfield goalkickers who score also. Hawkins could have a good year I heard he may get some time in the Ruck? If he does it could increase his points. Id get rid of Staker I dont rate him - Mark Williams and Hahn Im not to sure about but I wouldnt have them either. But thats my opinion if it was my side.
But I would keep your rookies in Trengrove and Cunnington they should play and increase value well.
