pretty solid, I think gaj is number 1 by quite a bit atm personally. Would like to see Simon Black a bit higher...The only real crime is not having J.Brown in there, I know he's missed alot of football but you've got Lenny in there and I think when fit he will still be top 4ish power forwards in the comp. ps i am a Lions supporter

I guess it depends what you're criteria are. I could understand having Ablett at 1 for many reasons, but in terms of their influence on the game, someone like J Brown I don't really rate - not because he isn't an exceptional player of course. It's just considering that he's out half the time injured, and when he does manage to string games together at best he's going to have a few ripper games and his team's still going to get mauled.

I agree with Black, though, one of the best players in AFL history. Seen it all, done it all, and like a fine wine.

I agree that at the moment Ablett is the best player in the league by a fair bit. Iwould have personally put Marc Murphy, Sandilands and Blakc higher up but you can't please evryone with these types of things. Nice job.

Ye its incredibly hard to fit everyone in, as you could see i had a massive list of unlucky to miss out, i tryed putting murph higher, but personally I think mitchell and Bartel are better

Good effort, bnut some choices I did not like.

One, how isn't Ablett number 1?

How isn't Pendles better than Swan or is this DT related? Then why is Harry Taylor number 8? lol

TheMailman

Harry taylor in front of Goodes, Cox, Scarlett, Bartel, Mitchell and Boyd?

You may have to rethink that through

Add Hodge, M.Murphy, NDs, Stevey J and others to that list.

By what criterion is Ablett number 1? Ablett might be killing it, but only as much as his team's getting killed. Swan won the Brownlow and his team came runners up for the flag. Same reasoning goes for Pendles. Personally I agree in that I'd put Pendles higher than Swan, but that's just interpretation. Looking at the facts, it's a fair call.

As for Harry Taylor, I've got no problem with that. If you reckon he's the best defender in the league, then he deserves the spot. Lists where the top 25 are all midfielders are just bollocks.

I see it funny that Birchall is in the top 50 or top 40. I like the guy and as a player, but he's surely not better than other defenders like Heath Shaw...

Well my mistake, but yeah Birchall shouldn't be in the top 50.

So are you basing this on best in each position or what? I still don't understand how Taylor is so high when you've placed other great defenders like Scarlett and Glass so low?

Taylor might be the best defender in the league according to you, but how does he get ranked higher than dual brownlow medalists and the like?

Obviously players like hodge mitchell bartel or more skilled, but taylor is a gun defender, its done by how good they are compared to the rest of the league, for me H.Taylor is 8th best
