In my opinion ( and I'm happy for people to state otherwise ) this team is in a real mess!

They lost the Burgoyne boys and Lade to retirement.

Then they recycled Nash, Schultz, Cloke and Harding. Are you kidding me?

Don't get me wrong, I think there are some good kids there that could go ok down the track like Hartlett, Broadbent, Banner, Moore, Butcher and JMP.

But they have too many players that light it up one week, then go missing the next like Pearce, Motlop, Salopek, Ebert, Boak.....the list goes on.

I'd be pretty concerned if I was a Port supporter. It looks a bit messy to me and this also compounded by lack of support with memberships down and poor attendances to home games.

Meanwhile, hometown rivals Adelaide will push for a top 4 spot in 2010. It's looking ugly Power!

Our recycled players are a joke?

Hawks gave up 2 first round draft picks for a 28 year old bung kneed downhill skier. He has all the ability in the world but turns it on when he feels like it, perhaps now he's gone the players you named have lost their role model.

In conclusion, I hope the Hawks make the finals this year or it will be very embrassing for you and in time watch JMP and Moore carve it up and sit back and dream IF ONLY.

Personally, although only nab cup, i think we're doing quite well.
our backline is getting more experienced and the rest of our squad besides tredders is young. 90% of our squad is under 23 i think, so we've got the best yrs ahead and i hope people keep tipping us to miss the finals.

Good team that Hawthorn, thrashed Richmond by 3 points and there Captain goes around pulling people's hair. As for recruiting just don't mention the words "ruckman" or "backline".

Haha Hawks_1976. It's funny how inaccurate your opinions have turned out for this season for Port. Port are currently in the top 8 and have blooded some talented youngsters. The irony is the Hawks have only won 2 games so far this year.

The Hawks on the other hand - well I'm not sure what they're trying to do at the moment. They have neglected to recruit a decent ruckman or backline player for a few years now & they were lucky to beat Richmond by 3 points last week.

look, I didn't mean it like that, I meant just because you guys are hitting a winning streak and have got a very strong team and are having (and will have) a great year, sometime you guys will not be so strong and not saying when, but every team eventually drops down years down the track.
