Thought I would start a debate about midfielders.

Which midfield combination is best?

This is what I have at the moment:

Gary Ablett jnr
Bryce Gibbs
Marc Murphy
Rhys Palmer
Tom Scully
Dustin Martin

Anthony Morabito
Lewis Jetta

GAJ is very expensive - is he best as an upgrade? Are you better going JSelwood, Pendles etc and using cash elsewhere?

Maybe if people list their midfield combination and a quick explanation why.

Upgrade to GAblett. Unless you see him increasing his average and holding it for the year (includes the possibility of injuries).

i have
ablett
gibbs
prismall
dalziell
palmer
martin
i think gibbs will keep getting heaps of the ball
prismall with a full preseason can b 1 of the best dt players next yr
dalziell is a ball maggnet and subi will suit
palmer is cheap and gets heaps of it
and u can pick between 5 or 6 first yr players to fill the last spot!
wats ur thoughts on that?

christoff

and imo u really should have ablett or swan in ur team as ur captain!

Team_Lactose

Thats not a bad midfeild you got there. Just be careful with Dalzeil though as he has only played 5 and 7 games in his last 2 years so a bit concerning.

Mine atm are

Bartel (underpriced with his 43)
Pendlebury (underpriced with his retun games from injury)
Coony (good end to last season)
Palmer (back from injury)
Scully (will get plenty of game time, averaged 80 in the TAC cup)
Morabito (Not sold but should get plenty of game time)

Cunnington (very impressed in his body size, he is ready for round 1)
Banner (high numbers as a junior, rodan/burgyones going down opens up a spot for him imo)

christoff

fair enough u wouldnt start ur team with ablett or swan?

footsteps

Ablett no... has never played 22 games in the last 3 years, Swan will go down very quickly.

Bartel is underpriced, the other two are priced at premium.
