Took a punt on Vince and it hasn't backfired but it hasn't really payed off either.

I know it seems like a stupid trade but it's so frustrating for me cos the other two blokes I was considering were Sloane and Steven, who have both gone on to smash it.

I don't have enough cash for Sloane but I could go to Steven or maybe even someone like Masten or Ebert.

Windigo

Gone on to smash it in two games.

Would have better off to have gone with Sloane at the start for sure. But I don't think getting Steven is worth it?  ???

Colliwobblers

is an unfortunate sideways trade but if your sure you got it wrong and you probably did pull the trigger

You only want to trade two types of players into your side

1. Cash Cows.
2. Keepers.

I think Vince is neither. But make sure who you trade in is one of these. Probably (definately) can't afford a keeper, so make sure whoever you trade in will make you enough money to justify 2 TRADES. Yes 2 you will use two one to get him in now and another to get him out, for 2 trades like that i would want to make a minimu of $200K preferably more.

This won't be too hard if you pick the right gun rook or mid pricer midfielder.

Good Luck

as a big crow fan ive had vince in my dt before and get him out trust me! There is big wraps on vince but unfortunantly it doesnt go any further then here in SA as he has the skills to turn it on and win adelaide a game every now and then but its not at a level to compete with the elite midfielders. In dt the upside of big cash gains and simliar scores from magner / greene and alot of other mid rookies means he wont feature in any good dt side

So basically I've come up with two options:

1. Downgrade to Greene to get the cash flowing

2. Wait a week or two for either Vince to start smashing it or to then trade to someone like Barlow or maybe even Rockliff if he keeps falling

thoughts?

I feel your pain lolrocket...i've been burnt by Bernie before. Of those 2 options i'd be taking number one. Greene has the potential to average more than Vince and make you a truck load of cash

Insider out

no issues in trading Vince to Greene to make cash however:

IMHO

I think Vince can average 95+ this year and become M6 or your final luxury upgrade

>Great game last week on 80 at 3qtr time, and should have cracked the ton. Watched him closely and he ran hard into space all night. There was actually about three times he was free and it was kicked to him poorly and went out - was what I would call an unlucky dt game with a few missed shots etc but still got 95.

>Did ok against the suns for his 85

>I look at him like a Stevie J as far as young fella plenty of potential and all the off field issues aswell. It has come to a head this year with the casino incident, pants down etc.. He owes the club for having faith and has turned the corner - he has something to prove

>He has a massive ceiling can pump out 130+ scores

>Rarely will cop a tag this year & we know the crows have a good draw. after hawks this week has GWS and Port and then plays all three again

>And lets be honest he is a pretty good looking dude - for a dude - not that theres anything wrong with that.

verdict = Keep

One of the most quality users of the ball in Adelaide's midfield and has been known to buckle under a heavy tag, to say he won't cop a tag is a bit out considering just how effective they are on him.

Did well a few years back and hoping a new change of coach will freshen up his attitude and mentality.

A risk but has a great upside, goodluck. He was in my team for a fair chunk before round 1. If he can capture 2009 form you are laughing but at the very least I see him averaging a 80+ for you.

Greene has the potential to average more then Vince... a kid whos played 2 games... cmon

Think I'll keep and then trade in a few weeks if he doesn't improve

turns out Vince has scored 100s in 6 of his last 7 at the MCG and Hawthorn is his 2nd best team.  :P

DT Gun

PEOPLE FORGET NOT ALL YOUR PICKS NEED TO GO UP IN PRICE TO MAKE YOU MONEY.

IF YOU PICK VINCE AND HE HOLDS HIS PRICE, THEN YOU UPGRADE HIM TO SWAN WHO DROPS TO 500K, YOU STILL HAVE MADE 100K, ITS JUST VINCE HASNT GONE UP.

KEEP HIM BECAUSE HE WILL HOLD HIS PRICE, A PREMIUM WILL DROP DOWN AT SOME STAGE AND THE CROWS HAVE A GOOD RUN

just keep him for the two reasons i've highlighted :P

but I'm sticking with him, picked him over boyd to improve my backline significantly and he will hold his price or even go up!

keep the faith buddy (:
