So here's a big dilemna for me this week, who to play.

Should I play Marty Clarke up against the Blues with small forwards Garlett and Betts just getting in the way and making smallish defenders score shower this year (Ellis/Morris and golby)

OR

Should I go with Brandon Ellis. With Richmond playing their new keeping the ball chipping game, with all defenders getting heaps of marks, as well as, they are playingt Melbourne.

So what's your thoughts?

Also Steven Morris is the other choice.

Would stick with Marty, Think Maybe Toovey and Harry O to get the Jobs on the Dynamic Duo

Marty seemed to get a lot of his possies linking up running off back flank/wing vs tiges. Not sure he has the defensive skills to be trusted with a shut down role on Betts/Garlett

Ben Johnson will come back this week also and may get a role on either

MATT WINDLEY’S FORECAST: Wellingham, Johnson and Maxwell come in while Tarrant, Sinclair and Seedsman go out. Brown will probably be given another week with the club mindful of not rushing the key defender back too soon after 18 months out of the game does anyone know how this would affect clarke, if at all?

Ricochet

against Melbs this week Ellis should be free'd up a bit and will score well imo

I am sticking with Clarke! I may bench shaw though!

Please some help  :-\
Take the Richmond players, as they are against the Dees.

Colliwobblers

don't bench shaw if the skipper lines up shaw will be freed up to score and he always scores well against the strong sides and poorly against the shower teams.

heater only had 6 scores under 85 last season all against bottom 6 sides.

As for clarke his role isn't going to change no matter who comes back if anything he will only get more free also  - very safe starter.

I would say a good idea to give ellis a run against the dees but i wouldn't risk it - they are capable of playing better and just might surprise us making this rounds scoring against them not what we hope for. And or the ball might not go anywhere near ellis in defence.

Chopps

cant really help you, i am in the same boat, clarke, morris or ellis for the last spot

Tempted! But I won't! :

Shaw averages 78 in 11 games vs Carlton. Why because he plays well against better sides.

Obviously more info needed. As i said earlier his ONLY scores under 85 were against Sydney, Port, Adelaide, Melbourne, North.

But to make an excuse for him vs Hawkthorn round 1 - he doesn't play well against them either if you call mid 80's not well - it is well below his average vs other good sides.

Anyway sorry to hijack thread not about SHAW, but trying to help, if maxy is back and you bench shaw vs carlton you might regret it. thats all...
