Team Issues

Hey guys

I have a number of issues in my team and i think im going to have to perform a double trade this week which im ok with because i like to get my team set early and then save my trades for later on. These are my issues that my team have.

1) My backline is probably the area with the most problems, I have Corey Enright, Greg Broughton and Paul Duffield. I am thinking i should trade at least one of these guys to either B.Goddard, A.Carrazzo, D.Heppell, S.Fisher, C.Yarran, S.Gilbert, N.Malceski, C.Dempsey, R.Hargrave or B.Ellis (That would mean i have S.Morris, B.Deledio and him). If i go for this i dont know whether to downgrade to make money or sideways to another premo. The only thing i dont like about this is that i know all 3 can score well!

2) In my midfield i have 2 players that i could potentially trade out Koby Stevens and Rhys Palmer. The only way id trade Palmer is if i downgrade a back to free up cash and then upgrade Palmer. I was thinking of trade out Stevens for either T.Couch (If he gets selected), C.Smith, T. Greene ( Means i would have Palmer,Shiel and him). I like having all of the decent playing rookies early so thats why i like this trade.

3) Up forward i have 3 things that i could possibly change. Matthew Pavlich ( Not scoring that highly considering price), D Martin ( same with this guy except worse than Pav) and Darren Pfeiffer (if he doesnt play this week). For pav and Martin there are just better options for the same price or less e.g M.Robinson, D.Zaharakis, D.Giansiracusa, S.Higgins, P.Dangerfield or C.Cornes. If Pfeiffer doesnt play this week im very tempted to trade him out for one of these T.Couch (If selected) or T.Milera.

In saying all this which two players should be the highest on the priority list to get rid of and for who? Any advice or opinions would be appreciated :)

The only issues in your team are Pfeiffer, Stevens, Broughton and possibly Duffield
Youre being way too picky.. Enright is getting into the swing of things. Isn't have a preseason and is a proven performer. Will you have him in your team later? Probably so what's the point of trading him out? You picked him for a reason so stay with it.. Same goes with Pavlich and Martin. Both have played top 4-6 teams and would be expected to have rough weeks, particularly Martin but will they be in your team at years end? Yes! You got them in because you decided you would keep them all year round so what's the point??
Stick with them and they will reward you!

Broughton is a tad difficult as his role seems to have changed since preseason and this is bound to become worse as Barlow and morabito get game time, I will probably trade him out of my side this week.

But your main problem is non playing players. What's the point of having them? All they are doing is taking up someone's spot! If I was you I would fix those non-playing rookies, hold off on Stevens and get either ledger or McDonald in once they rise, and start from there. They are the more pressing matters

Do you think it is alright to have 3 GWS players in your midfield? If not Smith or Couch (If he plays).?

If you can change Enright to Godhard  .. i would

Do you? Do you think that is better than a straight swap to Carrazzo?

Ajax22

There is absolutely nothing wrong with 3 GWS in your midfield. What could be the issue? Byes? Most will be gone by then

Definitely keep Pav, Martin and Palmer
Keep Duff unless he's out injured

I rate Broughton over Enright at this stage. Enright's only ever been an 85-90 player and whilst very consistent in that regard, age could start to play an issue and see his scoring decrease to sub 80. Goddard could be a very valuable replacement. On the other hand I didn't know Enright was missing a preseason and this could well explain why he has started slowly (I never considered him so didn't follow any news on him).

As said above though Pfeiffer and Stevens are the big issues.
Assuming you have D. Smith and Kennedy then theres not really a lot to do with Pfeiffer besides Milera who I'm not really sold on. Other option is if Couch is named this week then you could hold off the trade for a week or two to make sure that Couch can score and has decent JS before trading out Pfeiffer for Couch. On the other hand by this point Pfeiffer could be playing himself and you could save a trade.
Stevens to Greene this week would be the best looking trade (although waiting for JMac is also an option)

If I was you I would wait to see the teams. I would all but lock in a Stevens to Greene trade for some quick easy cash. If either Pfeiffer or Couch is named then I would leave the forward line alone for now, if not I would trade Pfeiffer for Milera. Also if you do have that trade left over I would lose Enright for Goddard but that is largely due to me not rating Enright that highly these days.

Godhard  VS Carrots .. its a no brainer for me

Thanks alot ajax! thats really helpful! So you reckon im better of trading enright for another premium rather than downgrading him to make some cash?

If you can swap Enright to Godhard, probably the highest scoring defender for the year for 20k ... get your wallet out sunny                                                                        ^  will be ^

Juddster5

Yeah Goddard should be in the top 3 scoring defenders this season.

+1 if you can get Goddard in then do it, back rookies don't exactly look the most reliable bunch running around at the moment

Juddster5

I was more thinking Ryan Hargrave but i think ill get Goddard.

Football Factory

If Duffman doesn't play this week i would be tempted to trade him for Hargrave ( aslong as he is named ) depends if you need to trade elsewhere

Juddster5

Yeah im not quite sure what ill do there. I think im willing to give Broughton another chance. Duffield looked good scoring 41 in a half before going to hospital. Enright looked better than the week before but still not up to scratch in my opinion.
