Many people, myself included, are looking to trade out Broughton to a slightly cheaper and better performing player such as Beau Waters or Nick Malceski etc.

Obviously, Broughton was picked as a 'premium' who was to stay permanently in teams. So if, for example, Waters is traded in for him, are you selecting him as a keeper or is he someone who can make you quick cash and will then be upgraded. For me, I prefer to have my premiums in the top 10 premiums of that line at the end of the year and i don't know if waters will be in that category.

So, is Waters a keeper or someone to be upgraded later on. Personally i would be happy with him as my 6th or 7th defender at the years end but i was just wondering what other people were thinking.

I`m hoping he is that is why i picked him also hoping Malceski is as well.
If not i figure if they make enough $$$ i can trade over to a premo who has dropped a bit in price.

I'd say he is a definate keeper. Who are you trading him in for?

Considering a Broughton/Golby double trade to Waters/Malceski but too scared to be hurt by broughtons huge tons

Waters defender 6/7 all season for sure. Def premos are hard to pick at the best of times.

As declared at the start of this post Broughton is a KEEPER. Unless the definition has changed I'm amazed at the mass exodus that is taking place. So far the Dockers have played Geelong and Sydney at ANZ, hardly two games a running defender should be expected to score heavily in. This week at Subi vs Brisbane will be the true test, he should go ok or I too will be worried.

I actually reckon Spurr getting into the team would be the perfect tonic for Broughts as it would free him up.

oh yeah and in answer to the question Waters is a keeper, 70 on a bad day and 110+ on a big day for an avg ~85 (hopefully 90), lock him in.

yes, he will be in the top 10 defenders come seasons end
