You should consider keeping Morris & Ellis for the byes.  Both have reasonable JS and adequate R13 bye keepers.

T. Milera > R12 back (Spurr)
D. Shiel > R12 forward (Zaharackis/SJ/Chapman/etc.)

Next week, you should look @ Zorko & Jenkins.  With 2 premium rucks I think you really need to look at selling Giles to maximize scoring.

DEF: B. Deledio, B. Goddard, G. Broughton, N. Malceski, T. Bugg, B. Lake, S. Morris (B. Ellis, L. Spurr)
MID: S. Pendlebury, M. Boyd, J. Selwood, G. Ablett jnr, J.McDonald, K. Horsley (D.Pfieffer, C. Smith)
RUC: D. Cox, A. Sandilands (J. Giles, J. Redden)
FWD: S. Sidebottom, L. Franklin, P. Dangerfield, M. Pavlich, D. Martin, D. Zaharackis, A. Treloar (A. Hall, B. Smedts)

Are those trades that u suggester for this week or later?
Also, how about my plan of getting Priddis when he bottoms in price?
And the thing about Giles, as that surely enough, Cox and Sandi will get injured again at once stage, so i will always have a good scoring backup? Or is that just a waste of money on the bench?

Thanks!!

charliesheen

Those trades are for this week.

Hmmm...  Tough one, maybe reassess Jenkins the week after, could also cash out Redden who looks gone.

Forget Priddis, Murphy is going to be dirt cheap very soon and could average 120 sc this year.

Luigi197

I think I will do those trades, as it will strengthen my fwd line! I think Chapman will be the way to go, and that way i will have 60k in the bank. So for now those trades for this week sound good :)

So then over the next few weeks, i cash in Redden and 1 or 2 fwd rookies, so later i can get in Marc Murphy. These trades here will have to be wise and worth while though.

I think then i will also forget about Giles for a while; mayb until my team hits a crisis, or simply for the end of the year.

Thanks!!

#49
Hall and Redden for Zorko and Jenkins?

Even if i already have Cox, Sandi and Giles?

Ringo

Check your bye situation Luigi. Jenkins has a Round 11 bye with Cox and Giles. So you will have a ruck donut in Round 11.  No problem if you are going to get rid of Giles for a round 12 or 13 Ruck prior to bye.
Also Zorko has a Round 11 bye whereas hall has a Round 13 bye so if in trouble with Round 11 byes consider this as well.
Bye Structure this year is really causing angst as Best Backs all have Round 13 byes, Best Forwards all have Round 12 or 13 byes Best Rucks Round 11 byes.

Giles > Jenkins

Have to reassess which GWS has to go for Zorko based on who is named.

Do you honestly think that Giles to Jenkins would be the best move (i.e byes??) That would make me 3 r11 bye rucks.. And that move would only be best if Jenkins continues to get games, and Redden starts playing soon, as Sandi and Cox may get injured at one stage, and if it isn't Giles, i want at least someone who is playing to back them up..
And also, i've got A Hall who's not playing, would it better to trade him out for someone who is playing, even if he hasn't made me too much money? Or is it really worth trading Bugg (with dpp Smedts)/Treloar for Zorko for that extra cash? I'd say that i wouldn't want to trade McDonal yet, cause his BE is still low and will rise the most out of the GWS players (except for Giles), but on that note, Treloar still has a low BE, so mayb either way, Bugg would be the best downgrade as he has made heaps of cash and has a BE of 75?

charliesheen

In short yes.

RUC: D. Cox, A. Sandilands (J. Giles, J. Redden)

Cox - R11
Sandi - R12
Jenkins - R11
Redden - R13.

Trying to optimize donuts in rucks is IMO not very beneficial most comes down to luck.  Cash injection from giles, will make up ground from starting 2 ruck combo over Giles.

Its your time to shine.  Use that cash to get rid of dead weight rookies in other positions.

Luigi197

hmm ok!

Keeping in mind that last week i did Milera to Spurr (in defence) and Shiel to Chapman (in fwd).
I also have Smedts currently in the fwd who can go back.

Should I get in Zorko this week as well? For Bugg?

And which upgrades look on the horizon most likely?

charliesheen

With cash injection, probably looking @ getting rid of dead weight rookies that are not named.

Luigi197

Tell me what you think of this:

If I trade Bugg to Zorko by moving Smedts to my backs and Zorko to my fwds; And If I also trade Giles to Jenkins, It wont effect my Bye's at all compared to before the trades, and with this, I will have pretty much exactly 600k to spend. With this money I could do these trades, most likely in this chronlogical order:

Upgrade Ellis to Shaw/Scotland.
Upgrade C Smith to Watson/S Thompson/Swan
Upgrade Hall to Tippet/N Riewoldt
Sideways trade Martin to Tippet/N Riewoldt (if Dustin's form really doesn't improve, and if it helps my bye situation)
Upgrade Horsely/McDonald to Watson/S Thompson/Swan/Judd/Murphy
Upgrade Morris/Spurr to Shaw/Scotland

**In the middle of these, downgrade Smedts/Pfeiffer/Redden/remaining rookies. Most likely after byes**

1. Are my trades this week good?
2. Have I got the right idea for the future?
3. What would you suggest for the future? Would you alter my current plans?

charliesheen

Need Bugg as bye keeper.  Don't touch him unless you are replacing him with a R11 defender.

So McDonald for Zorko if he isn't named? Although I hate to let Mcdonald go with his price still to rise, although i'm hating him not playing!
Which brings me to a new question. I started with Zorko in my plans for this year, but then didn't start with him as he wasn't named. Do i still want him?

charliesheen

Giles > Jenkins.

Wait and see who is named.
