Please talk me out of Waters!

Beau Waters - Had him since his first NAB cup game and he looked like an absolute steal at that price after scoring a pair of 90's. 10 minutes until final lockout...I stupidly trade him to Shaw for 'Saftey'. Basically I have paid an extra 116k for a decrease of 64 points...and now am very tempted to get rid of Heater for him before he increases in price. I know trades are golden, but I hate inconsistency and by downgrading him to Waters I will have around 200k in the bank for upgrades later in the year.....Please someone talk me out of him as he's really tempting me!

'Fix it' trades are an exception. I'm sure you don't want to lose money on Heath Shaw. If you do this trade, not only do you trade out somebody who is going to lose you money, you trade in somebody who will make you money. Oh and WCE have GWS this week. Sorry if I made it worse  ;D

Flower you! haha jkes, yeah Shaws price will plummet but I know as soon as I trade him out he will pump out 120+ and make me regret it....Why oh why couldnt Beau get rubbed out for a couple!

I would say a trade is worth around 100k, so what it comes down too is who do you think will average the most out of waters and shaw for the rest of the season. Completetly forget about prices going up and down as both should be keepers.

nah, i do have him in my team. but the op wants us to talk him out of getting waters, so i'm giving some reasons not to get him which are fairly legitimate... odds are he will get injured or rubbed out this season - yes, he is a gun player though, and very courageous (which can be a negative in terms of longevity and being on the field eg jonno brown)

Waters just accumulated 93.75 points from the bump on Grimes, so anything else that happens he getting rubbed out with suspension.

Shaw is a top 5 Premo, like broughton they've both had quiet starts but will be top 5 defenders at the seasons end.

Don't trade Shaw, let go of the emotion behind price rises and falls, it's irrelevant with Keepers.

Swan will go down in price but you'd never trade him... Ever!!!

about time someone said it, doesnt matter if shaw goes down a bit then remake his money its not worth the trade.
