#1
yeah good team! generally same structure as mine,

All i can say is what i would do....and i would have Gibbs over Pendlebury as he will have yet another yr that he will improve + no Judd in the first 3 weeks would benefit him IMO.

i also think Higgins will have more upside than Harvey!

i could also say what rookies i think but to be honest no one knows and even if they are good it all comes down to wether or not they play...put it this way you are starting all the same as me.

i have J Trengrove in my backs and Currie in the rucks bench instead.... you could swap that around and take out Sheppard and have another 70 od grand to play with and upgrade Pratt but i'm guessing thats a love pick

cheers

Thanks Hippo,

I was thinking of Gibbs in the midfield and your right no Judd first 3 games will benefit Gibbs alot with abit of the ball you would think.

I had Currie in my team last year and he didnt end up playing, so im not sure if he will get a game with Seaby and Mumford being the 2 main rucks plus Jesse White as a forward.

I was looking at Jackson Trengrove in the backline - I guess i was trying to fit him in somewhere and I think he will get game time. Thanks for the tip.

Harvey I feel will have a good year but I was also thinking of maybe replacing him with Cyril Rioli - but Higgins is a good switch also.

I think most of the rookies will play at some stage next year thats why I went with the ones I have named.

Pratt not a love pick really I just think he is going to have a good year this year and is at good value thats why I choose him not because I barrack for the Kangas  :)

Cheers

have a look at my team and you will see how similar they are and i will just give you another example of a couple of players that are dif and why

you could go trent West instead of Currie to get the same result (free up money)

Yeah i had Gilbee but opted for Adcock and if you have or could get $38,000 then i would recommend getting the cock over Pratt...

this was my reasoning for picking him or should i say method to my madness (i have written this on his page

last half dozen games he scored 106, 113, 83, 100, 126, 134 & 11.. his avg for 09 was 87.3 OK now in 07 he avg 110 but the yr before (06) it was 89.2.pretty much the same as this yr and this is how he finished off the 06 to lead into the 110 yr 87, 83, 109, 139, 146 Looks to me he finished off this yr exactly how he did in the 06 season to get to the 110

hibbo, your team is OK
Pendles is a little too risky after that fractured fibula he injured in the QF and replace him with either Gibbs, J Selwood or Bartel. Gibbs should score well with Judd out for the first three rounds.

Cyril Rioli, Pat Veszpremi or Jack Riewoldt could have their breakout years and should be replaced for Brent Harvey who is getting old.

Cheers

Do you mean me (Hippo) or do you mean Hibbo

Okay made a couple of changes as below not sure if its a risk with McVeigh or not hopefully he can have a good year unlike this season.Got rid of Kennelly for the Cock in defence. Gibbs comes in for Pendlebury who i like and is consistant I may end up with Pendlebury because i think he is over his injury - but with Luke Ball coming into the team it could restrict Pendleburys impact.
Higgins in for Harvey in the forward line also and he should have another good year - I had Higgins this season also and he was great(though had niggles with his hamstring).
I feel I have 4 good handy rucks now and Jackson Trengove fits in nicely in the backline on the bench.

Nice Magic!

Backs are solid!

Mids as good as any

Fwds strong

good rookies without seeing games at top level!

I think your done - can't really improve on this - IMO the balance is spot on and  the money has been well spent without leaving too much on the bench

WELL DONE

I know this is getting off subject abit but where did you guys finish this season in SC? I know there was a thread about this somewhere few months back now.

Dees for the Draft

I'd look at Morobito ahead of Martin.

A little cheaper and used to seniors in the WAFL.

ozzy_legend

Just on Gibbs..
I too thought he would be a good option with Judd out and was going to put him in, but I'm not as sure now. No judd could have the opposite effect, Gibbs will probably get the tag, and this year he struggled at times with a tag. I could be completely wrong though.. looks good!

Kangamagic

Yeah i know im thinking maybe Pendlebury back in for Gibbs. Im still looking through the options.

Cheers guys

I've had another look at my SC team for 2010 and have tweaked a few players into the team.
Was tempted to take a risk on Walker in the forward line but have gone for Veszpremi instead which is probably a safer option with the risk of injurys to Walker over the years.

Backline I have put in Carrazzo and Sheppard. Who replace Adcock and Waters. Im still thinking if i can get Waters onto the bench would be nice as a backup for when he does eventually start to play.

Midfield I have Higgins who i had in the forward line and Vince.
I did have Gibbs and McVeigh they are still an options as is Pendlebury.

Rucks I have Cox and Tippett as starting rucks. Tippett replaces the unknown Hille and weather he will be ready for Round 1.

Hawks_1976

Carrazzo is more suited to DT, bit of a clanger king!
And I'm not that keen on Gilbee now, Harbrow, Lake and Hargrave are soaking up hid numbers.
I'd still look at Hille at #2 ruckman, too cheap if he is ready for R1.
Higgins back to the fwd line for Trengove to be upgrade, swap Tippett and Warnock for Hille and Skipper. Then you will have about 400k to spend on another mid.
If you can scrape another 60k from alternatives to Carrazzo and Gilbee, I'd go Prismall.
