The topic pretty much says it all, thoughts?

I'm considering doing the Coniglio to Greene trade myself. I will wait till the teams are announced and will make my decision then.

As for broughts... He has come up against some good sides in the first 2 rounds. But in saying that, and from what i've seen a lot of people saying. Broughts seems to be playing down back quite a lot, and won't be getting much time in the mids. So I don't think his scoring will improve any time soon?

I could be wrong tho! But at the end of the day, go with your gut and do what you feel is right :)

Coniglio --> Greene, think you're chasing points (or cash) - ie ok if you're not thinking of Coniglio as a long-term possible year-long bench cover possibility, he gives you 2 options. Haven't seen enough of Greene to know if he's that sort of player.

Broughton --> Birchall, this is probably worth it if you don't want to hold onto him for the roller-coaster ride ... I gambled on Broughton in SC but willing to hold onto him there because he can rack up the points it seems better in SC than in DT, because of his skills as a lock-down defender ... if I had him in DT, i would probably jump off ...

Careful with Birchall, after today there may be better options

80 against the cats, in some pretty shower conditions at times isn't too bad. If this is a bad game from him i'm more then happy with that.

+1, and that's coming from someone without Birchall, but with Broughton... For Birchall to recover a half time score of 27, just goes to show that he is premium. A top 7 defender without debate.

Yeah, after much consideration I think I'll be doing Broughton => Birchall this week as well.

With all the midfielders yet to come back for Freo (and the fact that Broughton's not really playing mid even with them all out) and considering how well Broughton plays on the small forwards, I can't see his role changing. He might get put through the mid every so often but only enough to tease you, and certainly not enough to justify the price and frustration. Birchall, on the other hand, got an 80 in the wet and in what is shaping to be the Hawks' only loss for the year. Three crap quarters for an 80. He managed to get in a quarter almost what Broughton got last week.

But since it's only Monday, I'll probably change my mind another dozen or so times yet.  ::)

Plus it wasn't easy footy. He had to get in and earn his points. I'm a cats supporter so not being biased. I'm just glad I started with Birch :)

I say don't trade.

Coniglio>Greene is still a little dubious IMO.

Ousting Broughton will be a hot trade this week. I'll be keeping him, but I don't blame anyone in kicking him out! If he slays this week I'll be very happy. But that seems unlikely.

All I can take out of Broughton is the knowledge he can smash out big scores. Just not when....GWS & GC I have earmarked.  8)
