This leaves me with a total team value of $9 990 900 and a salary cap of $9 100 from m0nty's fanplanner. What do you think about my rookie selections and selecting  injury-prone players like Matt Maguire and Sean Rusling on the bench?

hibbo

You're missing your 6th midfield player.

Having Rusling and Gumbleton on your forward line bench is far too big a risk IMO.

What are the chances of Rusling and Gumbleton playing in 2010?

hibbo

If fit a very good chance. Well I would imagine Gumby would walk into the bombers, and I assume Rusling would to - but aint' 100% sure on that.

But that IF is the question. Can they both stay fit at the same time, history says no chance.

Thanks hibbo, then if  Gumby is fit for round 1, I would be able to find a suitable rookie to replace the suspended Buddy Franklin and just hope he scores well!!! ;D

I'm with Hibbo on Gumbleton.  If he puts in a strong injury-free pre-season, he will play many games for Essendon next year as a forward and will prove to be very good value.  Here's hoping...

Should Trent Cotchin be injured in the pre season, should I start with either Rhys Palmer or Chris Masten. What is the advice on selecting the injury-prone Sean Rusling on the bench?
Agree with ronl, if Gumby has a full pre season, he should average somewhere between 80 or 90 and could kick lots of goals with Scott Lucas and Matthew Lloyd both retired.

Thats a pretty good team BIG V, If i was you id be happy with that - though i agree with the Rusling and Gumbleton injury concerns but if they have a good pre-season why not start them I say. Good luck with your team !
