Watched both Tigers games and the Lions match the other night.

Morris & Ellis looked pretty good this week, posting respectable rookie scores.

IMO, the blues small forwards negatively impact on one's dt output. Morris & Ellis last week & Golby etc this week. Do you agree with this, Morris & Ellis both could run and carry this week, while last week they were constantly behind the two indigenous boys. Same with Golby this week.

Do you agree?  ???

Interesting observation. You do make a compelling argument. On my ability to be swayed by popular opinion (and after a few vinos) I will go with a tentative "Yes, Windigo. I agree with you"  ;)

Praetorian

It's an interesting theory, but after only 2 rounds it could just as easily be coincidence. Being first year players I find it more likely that Morris/Ellis are just going to be given different roles each week, but now that you've said something I'll be watching the Pies' small defenders next week.

On that note, I hope you're wrong. :( flowering Shaw.

DT87

Definitely, made a big difference last year too. That's why I'm probably keeping Golby for now.

CuStArDaRm

yeh your on the $$$

Best crumbing/tackling small forward combo in the league and when Walker is back even more so.

They always make a few chase downs a game and if that turns into a goal well then obviously would really effect scores.

And obviously the fact that you have be more accountable as a defender against those guys.

I was going to make a thread about this.

I think that's why some of us were cautious about fielding Morris/Ellis last week.

And now they play Collingwood next round..hmmm. Bad signs for messrs Shaw and Clarke?

Zombie2.5

i agree, it even effected the whole Brissy team haha!
Richy guys did better and golby even hanley did bad too.
Maybe it affects whole team haha, see lids he pumps out 140 after breaking away from the pesky fwds!

I was going to make a thread about this.
Well it would have been interesting without any input.

Windigo

It could be just coincidental of course. I'll be watching next weeks games to see how Shaw, Marty.....And Toovey go.  :P

Ricochet

I think your right. Those two carlton boys are so dangerous that teams have to play full lockdown on them.

Windigo

Haha, had a look at the Lions DT game on FF.

It seems Golby was on Betts & Garlett. Tough task.  :P

I was actually going to make a thread after the three rounds to just make sure. Just seems back players against the Blues (who lose) seems to score below there very average significantly...

Colliwobblers

blues were amazing this week, not many players will score well in fantasy against a side playing so well. Well pointed out Windy always got to look at who your players are playing, you probably find against teams like the hawks especially opposition players score much less, there are just SO MANY fewer turnovers from the hawks which limits possessions and therefore dt points to opposition sides.
