I thought you had Eski locked in?

i did before he became common, he was my smokie, I droped Cox to Mummy had some cash and went Eski to broughton, what a move.

me

i'm just going to hang onto this nitwit and see what happens

Ricochet

brissie next week, surely he can score well against them

aces-high

Its an awkward situation, do u risk keeping him like last year and cop the price dip? Or do u offload him to birch and hopefully pick him up later for morris when he peaks? Decisions decisions decisions...i stuck through the pain last year and he eventually came good in dt. I couldnt get him this year though, last years rollercoaster tested my patience greatly!!  Problem is im facing a similar equation with shaw in 2012 :S

elephants

In a similar spot with Golby. Clarke is far too tempting for 150k less...

mpollock

Would love the Golby problem ... he is a mid pricer ... Broughton and Shaw are premium price ...
Golby will be ok .... he plays in the Lions backline and it is not like the ball is never down there!!  ;D

elephants

Yeah Golby was forced to track Garlett and Betts all night. I'll keep him. Do miss not having Clarke...

Windigo

I'll be keeping Golby & Broughton.

It's too early in the season to be making a rah decision. Broughton should be scoring more, but 67 ain't that bad.....Better than Shaw.  :P

i had a crack at being a nerd last night and did some sums, broughton looking to ONLY drop 30-40K I can live with that without burning a trade but i DO NOT expect him to come good, there are plenty of good ball users at the Lions for him to get a job on.

Heater another spud and he will drop 40-60k but such a risk sideways trading premiums early. I have Howard to trade out so i will probably hang onto heater and broughton for another week AT LEAST and suffer some more.

Windigo

Good option, trade out players that aren't playing first.  ;)

What did you use to calculate it Col?? i just put some numbers into Dream-Stats and his breakeven after his 67 yesterday is 124. if he gets 70 next week his price will drop 23k. If he gets 60 he'll drop 27k
Not sure how reliable the site is but others on here recommended it.

thanks windy - i got dickson too and lynch up fwd, not worried about dickson much what does it really matter what a last bench rook makes. But I also have tommy t lynch a gun i called it i knew it a ton from 3 and a bit quatrters but doesnt play till sunday again next week and i'll have to have a playing player who can score a ton easily warming the bench because he has back to back being starting sub.

with 2 interesting fantasy relevant games today what will be our next "cause for consern" bring  it on  ;)

well that sounds about right - i have dt pro which has the projected calculations on it but are not accurate for this round so i did some "rough" calculations - think his be might be a little higher than that tho maybe 140+ still not a huge drop, I am not against trading him out to a guy makoing 90+ every week if the pattern continues that would be a smart trade no matter what anyone says, it's just fear of it not happening that holds our trade fingers at  bay.

Ricochet

i was looking at both Shaw's and Broughts starts last year and Broughts doesn't leave me feeling to confident... :-\

Round 1= 79
2 = 61
3 = 56
4 = 55
7 = 50
8 = 71
9 = 92
10 = 120
11 = 117

Should have been an upgrade target fml

hahaha interesting to see more of you keeping the faith! :P except Colli haha also how people are willing to trade broughts but aren't even considering shaw... he may have a slightly bigger ceiling but is he really a better player? I know I'll cop a lot over this but...

BROUGHTON > SHAW ;D
