Not sure that anyone really rates him, but Brad Green

Whats wrong with steele??????
Also most selfish, especially as catpain last year. Remembered one game were he gave an on field serve to Bate for getting in his way. Then stole sylvias goal by marking on the goal line and then stole another fringe players goal by snapping out of a pack 10m out from a play on to advantage.

True, Green was so cocky when he was going for captain he was like a politician gone corrupt to get in to power.

Yes, still hate him. I don't like Franklin or Sidey...But I have them. The only player I really like in my team is Redden.  :P

Windigo

I dunno really. I implore hard running and effort. As I think I'm that kind of player.

All I saw of Steele last year was him just running on to easy balls near the goal square and kicking some very cheap goals. Just seems a bit cocky to me.  :P

The thing is, have any of you made it into the AFL? no. You guys have no grounds to call these people "over-rated". Why don't you stop mocking players who've won brownlow medals, won premierships, and have been number one draft picks and start naming good players. This is a ridiculous thread supported by a bunch of people whose opinion is dictated by how many dreamteam points players get a match. Shame on you.

Is this guy alright? the whole point of this site is to talk about afl players. and more importantly nobody is saying there better than any of the players we are talking about. we are simply saying they are over rated and arent as good as some of the stars that people make them out to be. shame on you, you tool!

Well, Mr 2 large Cokes. Think about what you say.

The man has a valid point. You're in no position to say whether a person deserves the respect he/she recieves from anybody. These are actual people you're talking about, not fictional story characters like Harry Potter.
the thread is aimed at everyone's opinion on who they think is overrated? we're not judging them saying whether they are good footballers or not. simply talking about whether they deserve the hype they get from the media compared to players that are under rated? of course there all good players to make it to the elite level you twats. not once have I said anyone in the afl is showert. nice reference to Harry potter. was very valid in this argument!

if you don't like reading people's opinions on players then don't. get off your high horse and stop telling me who I can and can't judge mate.

elephants

Hurley was good today despite what I said earlier.

Look, the point I was trying to make is that most of the people on here are talking about these players like they're objects basically. It needs to be remembered that these guys work hard most of the week to entertain us for a few hours and we talk smack about them. Maybe if the media wasn't so biased and if we didn't buy into it so much we could focus more on the underrated. Yet this thread is just about so called "overrated" players. I just would prefer if we focused on the positives than the negatives. None of us are professional coaches, so let's leave the judging to them.

No offense, but these guys are paid ridiculous amounts of money to kick a leather ball about. Their livelihoods are based around entertaining us. They're not objects but they aren't princesses and can probably deal with a few footy nerds suggesting that they don't deserve all of the fame to go with the fortune.

Overatted players.....

AFL: Nick Maxwell, Angus Monfries, EVERY SINGLE CROWS PLAYER!!

All you here in Adelaide is how the Crows players are potential guns. Today the paper says that Brodie Martin will be as good as Joel Corey. And Richard Tambling is a superstar yet he struggles to get a game at the Crows. The Backline is also one of the best in the competition, despite Bock and Davis not beign there. ::) I love all this Crows talk, coz it's funny when we beat them. :D

For Fantasy: Judd.

+1

I guess it sells papers but it really is laughable sometimes. Watts should come to Adelaide, he'll be crowned the new Judd.
