Hey guys,
Sorry for this being so late. A million assignments before the Easter break have tied me up (so this will have to be brief).
Just going to cover the Carlton/Brisbane game for VCs in tonight's loophole. Tonight or tomorrow morning, you will get the info on the other captains!

Each week, I will do some statistics on a player's last 3 games (assuming they've played 3 games this season), their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and taking a punt at their score for this week. If you have any requests, just ask away and I'll get to them as soon as I can!

How the loophole works:
Please only ask questions about the loophole if you've read this at least 3 times and still are lost.
Step 1: Make a player in tonight's game your VC.
Step 2: If you like their score, substitute a non-playing player (e.g. James McDonald) onto the field and give him the C. If you don't like their score (i.e. you think one of your guns can score higher), leave the C on your big gun captain choice.
Step 3: Make sure (for the love of all that is holy) that you make the player that you subbed off your emergency so that you still get their score!
And it's that easy!

The facts:

Murphy
Last week: 116
Last 3 against Brisbane: 128, 69, 109 (102 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 129, 109, 97 (112 avg)

Gibbs
Last week: 104
Last 3 against Brisbane: 66, 102, 106 (91 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 144, 106, 91 (114 avg)

Judd
Last week: 93
Last 3 against Brisbane: 112, 99, 93 (101 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 123, 103, 109 (112 avg)

Carrazzo
Last week: 106
Last 3 against Brisbane: 114, 80, 81 (92 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 80, 81, 64 (75 avg)

Rockliff
Last week: 130
Last 3 against Carlton: 95, 99 (97 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 151, 112, 138 (134 avg)

Black
Last week: 128
Last 3 against Carlton: 89, 117, 75 (94 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 82, 97, 96 (92 avg)

Adcock
Last week: 125
Last 3 against Carlton: 50, 39, 78 (56 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 82, 74, 98 (85 avg)

Redden
Last week: 82
Last 3 against Carlton: 109, 95, 49 (84 avg)
Last 3 at the Gabba: 113, 118, 111 (114 avg)

The thoughts:

Murphy
One of the premium midfielders in the competition from last year and, if you have him, a logical VC choice. He didn't play the Lions at the Gabba last year (that 129 is against the Suns) but his short record there isn't too bad. Despite getting smashed, Trengove and Magner managed tons against the Lions last week so it shouldn't be a problem for Murphy. Not a certainty for a huge score but a chance nonetheless. Prediction - 110 (Max - 130)

Gibbs
Last time he played the Lions, he was thrown into a defensive role and it cost him dearly. With the Lions forward line looking surprisingly strong last week (Rockliff helped that), it may happen again. That 144 at the Gabba was against Gold Coast so you should probably disregard it. As always, Gibbs has potential to score big but I wouldn't back him if I had other options. Prediction - 90 (Max - 130)

Judd
Juddy is very consistent with his scoring against the Lions with nothing big but nothing small either. With a VC, you're really looking for potential to explode and it's just not there. I wouldn't back him in as a VC unless you had nobody better. Prediction - 100 (Max - 115)

Carrazzo
You can never tell what this bloke will do but I'll tell you one thing, he doesn't like the Gabba. Pass! Prediction - 75 (Max - 100)

Rockliff
I wouldn't be too worried about that time spent up forward last week. My only worry would be that, if he goes there, he may be played on by Gibbs or Carrazzo in a shut down role. If this doesn't happen, expect good things. Rocky LOVES the Gabba and, despite not having the best record against the Blues (in a young career, mind you), I think he'll be good this week.  Prediction - 110 (Max - 140)

Black
Don't like the numbers. Wouldn't back him. Prediction - 90 (Max - 110)

Adcock
Even worse than Blacky's (though potentially higher ceiling). Prediction - 75 (Max 110)

Redden
Consistently does well at the Gabba. I wouldn't let last week's score be a deterrent and he's not too bad against the Blues. Not as good as Rocky but probably the next best option from the Lions. Prediction - 105 (Max 120)

The verdict:

Just for the loophole, my predictions are the maximums and not actual predictions.

1. Rockliff (140)
2. Murphy (130)
3. Gibbs (130)
4. Redden (120)
5. Judd (115)
6. Any other Carlton/Brisbane player. If you have one, VC them!

Good write up mate!

No predictions on Mitch Robbo, you reckon he's no good at the Gabba or you just didn't have enough time?

nostradamus

........maybe l should just wack the big "C" on him outright and roll the dice  ::)

Nice write up, good to have you back mate

Pounding away at my assignment and haven't even looked at any other posts. As Windi said, I've been doing this for a while (was doing it last season) and I just followed my regular format. Got all the stats from FanFooty and the Dream Team website.

Just didn't have time. I'll give him a look a bit later if you'd like? Might be cutting it fine for lockout. If you have him and he's your only player in tonight's game, you may as well VC him anyway!

Thanks LaHug.

However is the stat for the Brisbane players "last 3 games at the gabba against carlton"? or just at the gabba?
If it was the former which 3 teams did the lions play at the gabba?

I also think Carlton stats at the Gabba are flawed as one of those games was against Gold Coast in round 2 which would have inflated scores.

Windigo

Overall, Redden has the best average of all Brisbane players at the GABBA last year.

Last three games at the Gabba in general. I have no idea which teams they were against but the information probably isn't too hard to find (try AFL website maybe? Or even FanFooty archives).
I have mentioned in "The thoughts" that the first game listed was against Gold Coast which inflated the scores already.
