Not usually a massive fan of round 1 trading but I have 0 confidence in starting Dickson, Hall or Smedts as my 7th forward.

Is it pure craziness to bring in Kenendy after just one week for one of these three?

NOTE
Apparently the was very little forward preassure applied by the Swans forwards on Giants backmen therefore possibly inflated scores for Bugg and Kennedy? On the other hand the ball is going to be in the backline of the Giants more often than not...

Not sure. Would love your votes and opinions!

PowerBug

Yeah, interesting idea. Trading a rookie after one game probably isn't right, but if you had to trade one i'd go with Dickson.

I'll say it again, i like the 'down time' Sheeds ordered his players to do during periods of the game. Lot's of +6's to players. THat is why i'd be more inclined to start GWS rookies, especially those defenders.

elephants

Yeah cheers, I am liking this Hawk-esque backline style Sheeds is developing I will admit!

kilbluff1985

Worth noting Kennedy scored like a 97 in there last NAB Cup game so he looks like he can score well

JamSainter

My 6th and 7th fowards are A. Kennedy and D. Smith with Dickson and Smedts as cover.
It won't matter much really. But if you were to trade, I think you should trade in Kennedy as he was playing the real 'fantasy slut' role, mopping up everything in defence, marking short kick-ins ect, so it is not a waste of a trade at all in my opinion.

elephants

True, thanks lads. I am just not sure that Kenendy will outscore Hall or Smedts or Dickson by enough to justify the little risk?

JamSainter

True, but he outscored them by 60 odd last round so he is in for a bigger cash rise come round 3 or 4

yorgis

i'm assuming you mean NEXT week 'phants. just wait and see how they all go THIS week and then make a decision.

never know who will be on the inury list yet. personally i could'nt bring myself to trade 1 rookie for another after onlly

a couple of games

JBs-Hawks

Play hall this week and make your decision next week.

Ajax22

No use trading this week with no price changes. Even if you intend to get Kennedy regardless there's currently no way to tell who to get rid of between the other 3. How would you feel if u traded out say a Dickson this week only to see him score 80 whilst Smedts gets subbed off for 20.

I would think Kennedy would have to back up his scores with another 80+ to justify bringing him unless some major doubts on js or scoring ability occur for one of your rooks

Go Hall on the field this week imo. He looked good on the weekend and should continue to improve as he gets used to playing at a higher level. A lack of NAB opportunities might mean he takes a week or 2 to get into gear

elephants

Thanks boys. Think I'll sit tight and hope whoever I start (probably Hall) does well enough.

yorgis

now you're thinking like real dt'er

owenbond007

Definately wait a week. Toss a coin this week, or even better roll a dice, 1/2 field Dickson, 3/4 field Hall, 5/6 Smedts. Personally Id go Smedts but dont think there is a lot between the 3.

The F.A.R.K.

Id start Hall, Depends if rutten is named for Crows. If crows line up sam shaw and talia start dickson. Dont waste a trade on kennedy he is no mickey barlow give him another week to prove he is decent (ala beau muston)

Locinator

This is so farfetched. Wait until next week Kennedy could be the sub this week with all the veterans coming in.
