From Adelaide Now -

"First-year Crows coach Brenton Sanderson may have to follow the innovative ways of Chris Scott, his former master at Geelong, by playing some of his Adelaide veterans for no more than 18 games."

Not great signs to be honest.

I like Scott Thompson as a player and such, but hopefully he's out for a while ;D

Bad news this for Thompson owners. The Vince and Van Berlo owners would also be a touch nervous...

Colliwobblers

most clubs will follow the cats lead of 2011 and rest senior players especially in dead rubbers against supd sides like st kilda  ::)

Yep i totally agree. we can expect players like buddy, mitchell, pendles, swan, murphy and gibbs to miss some heading into the finals as they are ll competitive teams this year. There gunna want there guns firing in the finals ;)

Praetorian

Still, even if premiums do get rested you'd expect it to be later in the year when finals spots are all stitched up. It will be a pain in the ass in later rounds (and will surely be worth saving a few late trades for), but that can't have anything to do with Thompson this early in the season.

Torpedo10

Glad I went Boydy over Thommo purely cause of Boydy's High Score ceiling.  :)

yeah and Adelaide might not even make the 8 ;)

Plastic Boy

I'd be very surprised if any Elite midfielder plays all games this year with most teams to take the 2011 Geelong approach and rest players throughout.

I'd be more worried about Mitchell who is certain to be rested as Hawthorn will be preparing for an expected GF campaign.

thommo looked more embarrassed than anything, when asked what the scan was for, on channel 10 interview. he had a wry

grin on his face saying that it'll keep everyone guessing. he's 29 and one of the fittest blokes goin' around, does'nt need a

rest in rnd 2. i'm sure he'll play. even if he has the pimple in his bum dry iced and he misses , he'll be back week after
