Bit worrying that Tom Rockliff played most of the Melbourne match up front.

Luckily Melbourne are terrible and luckily the guy is a freak no matter where he plays!

He still managed to rack up 130 points and could have been more, kicking 3 goals 5.

But do we think he will be sitting up front from now on until Jono Brown is back???  :-\

Can't seem him getting 100's every week in the brisbane forward line!

Justin Bieber

Yeah he kicked 4 goal 3 against Carlton is in a practice match. Must be playing up forward more, therefore, not getting as many touches.

I think that they just had to much fire power for Melbourne in the middle and didn't need to have rocky in there.
Voss must of thought no one could go with him up forward and he was right.

Against a decent side (thursday at carlton) he will be needed in the middle.

Perfectly said.

Windigo

Will float around everywhere.

Next year's absolute lock IMO.

I really hope Rockliff does continue in his forward role because the way things panned out was that Adcock took Rocky's spot in the middle.

I brought in Adcock on lockout-day and he carved up. If Rocky stays forward and Jed stays in the middle i'll be laughing as he is somewhat of an unique premium defender pick this season.

yeah adcock looked good running through the middle, i flipped a coin between adcock and heppell. It's only 1 game but im a bit filthy that it landed on tails for heppell and not heads for the cock.

just noticed a Jono Brown thread that mentioned he is back round 3 against freo, should see rock get back in the guts!

I do too, purely because Pearce was allowed to be the running defender with Jed in the guts.

lol rocky won't be playing full forward all year... btw, i watched some of the 2nd half and couldn't believe how good a 1 on 1 mark he is, was clutching everything... pity he didn't kick straight or he coulda snagged 150

+100

Noz

Had him as captain in supercoach as i knew he would be scoring high and played a bit up forward in the pre season. Should of kickd 5 goals. Will have a similiar role a to what Dustin Martin does. Rests up forward instead of spending time on the bench and switched up forward to bring the momentum back to Brisbane.

Nails

He may not keep this new role and will likely remain in the mids instead.

New role or not he should have a new name.

From now on we shall refer to him as Gunkliff.

I think he was played up forward because they needed someone to find the goal. I'm picking he stays there till Brown gets back. Why would they move him into the middle when he is killing it where he is.

If I'm not mistaken I think he was recruited as a forward who ended up breaking into the midfield, so he's got some experience up there and he's bigger bodied and smarter now too. Good coaching move by Vossy, perhaps not so good for DT, but of he's getting dominated as a forward, he can have a run in the middle and be replaced by a resting ruck etc. I'd suspect he will rotate through both, hopefully DPP next yr!
