Picked him up expecting big things of him this year, thought he would be Suckling-esque. While he started appalingly (11pts at HT), he then did go on and get 29 pts in just over a qtr, suggesting to me he was worth persisting with at least for a few weeks. However, he then got injured and what I'm hearing is he will be out for ~4 weeks. I do have cover for him in Morris or Darley if he plays, and will probably not trade him out anyway this week. I have 162k in the bank, meaning I can spend 414,300 on his replacement either in the back or forward line (due to Smedts as a DPP).

Anyone else stuck with him, any news how long he'll be out for?

checked the injury list he isnt on it thats all that matters I have him and Tom Lynch from the crows that concern me but no trading yet, not enough money tied up in them to matter just yet.

Reckon Howard will come good would'nt trade him yet the big question is to play him or not to, if fit he can rack them up had a very quiet first half last game then showed us why we picked him with about 30 in the 3rd..

Tom Lynch on the other hand smashed 36 in a quarter after being starting sub... unlucky but both have big potential and what are you going to do if you trade them bring in a rook and leave the money wasting away in the bank?

Hold off, Howard at least is worth keeping he played well always getting to the right place just didn't see much of it the bulldogs were unsettled and bombed the ball out of defence more than they should have missing howard out - which is why it went back over thier heads so often  :o

Get rid of him. I'm a keen doggies man and have followed him, and while he's good, I don't reckon you'll get a lot of SC or DT value out of him. 4 weeks

If he's out for 4 weeks I think he has to go, if its two then keep him.

I have him in both SC and DT looks like 4 weeks out you still keeping him?

If its 4 weeks max and doesn't sound too bad I reckon I'll wait it out. Means I'll have to play Mohr, Bugg and Lake (with Ellis as emergency).

From the start I had said not to go Lake or Howard- and in round 1 Lake racks up 29 while Howard is out for a month :D

Yes but he will play enough to be a good cash cow, trade him out around the bye rounds for an underpriced premium.

I am thinking trade him out, 4 weeks is a long time in DT
For me i don't have Bugg so I think I will trade Howard out for Bugg

Hmm not sure. If there emerges a clear upgrade or downgrade target after next week i may pull the trigger, otherwise will stick him on the pine for a while.
