the weekly winner's team is always crap long term, its pure luck to be the weekly winner, or a team is designed to be weekly winner, which isn't that bad an idea!

It's pretty hard to design your team to win ONLY the round 1 prize...

broughton to score 140 this week hopefully we can gain some ground on that top ten
not at the SCG, it is renowned for low scores unless you can tackle or ruck

Yeah, it's usually a team full of uniques that all click at the same time.  I'd rather get consistent scores than scores of like 1700 one week and 2400 the next.

If you've got Broughton but not Birchall like I do, you stuffed it. Broughton will clearly be up & down all year from the get-go, he won't ever be consistent compared to Birchall who is. Birchall also plays in a side that can hang onto posession very well. Birchall already looks comfortably in the top 7 defenders to me... 1 more chance for Broughton to prevent that trade. In his favour is the fact he scored 116 vs Sydney last year.

I'm a hawks supporter but don't get too confident with Birchall. He can get lockdown roles from time to time and he's not going too many 120 plus scores like Broughton.. people are treating him like Goddard. Also hawks have a lot of possession winning defenders so Birchall can miss out from the pill from time to time..

They are also masters of junk time though.  If Birchall finds himself in a kick to kick in the back half he can easily rack up points and can ton up even after a slow start.  Broughton does have a higher ceiling, but I'd much rather take Birchall's consistency any day.

Yeh, I mean I wanted Birchall but i wanted my premos to be 2 round 13 and 2 round 12 defenders..
I wouldn't say i've made 'the wrong decision'
