No I won't wait you can see from my teams thread i had heppell for every day since I first posted a team months ago changed to broughton yesterday..

that was the knee jerk - going back to heppell is just using my brain. Heppell is a midfielder broughton is a tagging defender

what was i thinking. Oh well only my 3rd mistake for the season plenty more to come, this one showers me the most tho.

And as a pies supporter i tipped the hawks but i still back the pies to play finals footy maybe the GF maybe not  ;)

Take a deep breath, curse your damned luck, but realise this is a marathon - not a sprint. A sideways trade after round 1 doesn't make a lick of sense. You can say as much as you like how long you stuck with Heppell and how much you should have picked him - you didn't. Back him and yourself in.

Ahh yes, Broughts.  I stuck by him when he was a complete waste of DT space last year, and then he went on that crazy run.  Everyone knows he either gets monster scores or shit scores, so when you pick him you can't complain when he has a night like tonight/

Yeah i just needed a lengthy rant, Think heppell will be a better pick over the whole season, and i thought broughton was going to be set loose in the midfield under lyons on teh back of his success in that role in the back half of last season, still not to be, i'll probably give them both round 2 to see how it goes but as long as the season is i dont want to be ranting every week in the hope someone comes good or gets a role change.

as i said earlier it's already not the first time ive kicked myself this season and it certainly won't be the last

traded out Birchall for Broughton at the last minute. (allowed me to upgrade Jelwood to Boyd...)

damn you interwebs for convincing broughton is a premo pick, mid-priced player at best!   >:(

Seriously, be sensible and do this. It's one game, and history would suggest round 1 usually throws up some real oddball scores. You lose absolutely nothing giving yourself one week's more data to work with. Heppell died off completely at the end of the North game, so it's not like he's an obvious replacement anyway.

If the worst comes to the worst, and Broughton spuds it up again next week, so what? You lose another 20 points on Heppell in a week where league games aren't played and can still make a sideways trade for absolutely nothing lost. It's a no-brainer mate, I really hope you see the light.  :( Only got your best interests at heart!

Broughts just like Shaw is a roller-coaster but he was cheaper and unlike Shaw is not a total douche therefore worth the punt. I'm going to see it through I reckon. Heppell only got 14 more points anyway, hardly worth trading for that!

yes i only started my rant at 1/2 time with broughton tagging on 31 and heppell playing outside mid on 68.

can't believe heppell got 7 in a half of footy - LOL @ This : maybe he was tagging  ::)

disaster why did i listen to the heppell doubters just to pick up teh "on baller" broughton! article out yesterday about how broughton already made the step to a midfield on baller.

I'm not regretting it all season theres a round 1 trade locked and loaded.

Do I want to keep a taggging defender or blow a trade to have an outside midfielder.

broughton was all over the ground but played a more defensive role and was behind the play. i hope this role was just for geelong if not hopefully broughton gets injured and we can justify trading him. At this moment, strictly no 'sideways' trade...  although trading him for someone his price range can be considered an upgrade...  :-X
