1969

Wrong rookies afield.

Flame

You also had a few under performing premos!! Shaw, Broughton etc!!

You'll bounce back this week!!

GoldDigger

Broughton on Johnson was a clear fail for both, Flame!

tor01doc

Shawl be fine.
Keep the faith - SJ has the runs on the board and Broughton should rack 'em up especially when let loose.

Save those trades - they are gold and you like gold.

GoldDigger

Appreciate the advice and support, tor01doc. Gotta trust yer guns!

Andrew

Time to deal with reality - Shaw & Broughton are too big a risk in the same defence... Pavlich not a great pick either, but have to run with it as the other 2 should probably both be moved on.

My suggested trades:

Shaw -> Marty Clarke
Broughton -> Hargrave

Thanks Andrew.

I feel that Broughton has had 2 of his toughest games so far, and will improve from here. Shaw is in a similar state, and back scores are a bit all over the place anyway. If I wanted Clarke, I'd have started with him.

It's too early to doubt the premiums - they were purchased for a reason, and without any clear reason for lower scores, they are worth holding.

Rookies, on the other hand - well, Paine is likely to be dropped soon, Ledger is hardly playing and Dickson is not scoring well. I think longer term improvement must come from having the right cash cows, and I'm missing Kennedy and Milera.

You don't mention SJ or Mummy - two premiums that have obvious problems because of possible injuries. They also have to be part of my thoughts this week.

Will you be trading this week? Does Hargrave's knock to the knee bother you?

Hargrave's knock does bother me, but if he's named this week you'd have to think he's fine because they'd hardly risk a player with a record like his, surely?!

Geelong have some easy fixtures coming up, so unless Stevie J is injured I'd hang tough with him. Mumford seems like a slight back strain, should be fine - but he's not in your team below..?

Kennedy is a must-have, you're right. I highly recommend ditching Cogniglio for him, as it'd give you a MID/FOR in your midfield. Very handy for future trading, like what I'm doing this week: Selling Hall/Dickson, moving Kennedy into the forward line and bringing in Toby Greene.

Good luck.

Soz Andrew, was thinking of my SC team re: Mummy.

So you reckon I should lose Coniglio for Kennedy rather than sorting out Broughton or Shaw?

Maybe I should do SJ for Kennedy?

I wouldn't ditch SJ when you've got Shaw & Broughton in your team..! He's underperforming, but two tough starts for Geelong followed by easy games. Hopefully he cashes in but he did cop a knock vs Hawthorn..?

Cogniglio for Kennedy gives you the MPP link in midfield. I just feel that the new trading rule is extremely useful and worth having up your sleeve, especially when you have the excuse of bringing in Kennedy to achieve it. I'm 90% sold on that for you, Cogniglio could fire up soon though and you can get Zorko later in the season to achieve the same thing. But it's investing a fair bit in Zorko before he's even played a game if you go with that plan...

You don't have Marty Clarke who I see as valuable perma-bench cover, so Broughton -> Clarke is definately a trade you should be doing.

Flame

Keep SJ Pros! Get Kennedy though! Dpp link is handy! Cogs could be the one to go!

2037, can't get the right rookies on field, and a little worried about Birchall.
